Onboard Air Question: How to keep exposed quick disconnects clean?

I'm about to relocate my compressor and add quick disconnects on each bumper. For those of you who have done this, are you using anything to keep the connections clean of debris? If so, what are you using? Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you.

    Post your Mitsubishi Pajero Pics

Nice Gen I. As an owner of a Gen III and a previous owner of a Gen II, I agree. I really like some of the things they did with the Gen III (engine and transmission, especially the 5-speed tiptronic). But, the departure angle and solid rear axle are what's missing from the Gen III. Plus, I...

    Slider/ Rocker Panel Protection for a 2010 F-250

Thank You! I was wondering how I could find a good, local fabricator. I appreciate the reference. Has he done work for you in the past? PM me if you don't want to share details here.

    Slider/ Rocker Panel Protection for a 2010 F-250

Buliwyf, I meant a step attached to the sliders like I have now on my Montero, very much like the Demello Tacoma sliders. In no way, shape, or form did I mean to indicate that I planned to use OEM or similar after market nerf bars or steps for all the reasons you mentioned. Sorry for any...

    Slider/ Rocker Panel Protection for a 2010 F-250

That's what I was afraid of; plus, I didn't like how the steps hang down a bit. I'd like steps, because even stock this truck is a bit high to climb in to. But, I'd want them up a bit higher or at least level so that they don't get hung up on rocks.

Looking at Monteros....where to start and what to look/look out for.

Gavin, Lot's of info here: http://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/ Gen III didn't come with a factory locker in the US. The LSD is pretty good, especially if you feather the e-brake, but it's still an LSD. I believe '03 and later came with traction control which should help a lot. Mine has...

    Overlanding Luggage?

For outside the vehicle, I'd recommend the waterproof duffel bags. For inside storage, we love our RedOxx AirBoss bags. They keep you organized and it's easy to get to what you want quickly. They're made in the US and have a lifetime warranty. Well thought out and well made.

    Slider/ Rocker Panel Protection for a 2010 F-250

Thanks, everyone, for the great ideas. I'm a bit concerned with going custom, unless the guy is local, or unless the out-of-town guys have access to the same vehicle for mock-ups.

    Slider/ Rocker Panel Protection for a 2010 F-250

I may have to go the custom route, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to this time. I may contact Aluminess to see if what they have can work on the Ford trucks and not just their vans.

2002 Montero Limited - OME LIFT SQUEAKY AS ALL GET OUT!!

Did you wait to tighten the A-arm bolts to the proper torque setting until after you lowered it back on the ground? The mitsubishi service manual specifically states that you should do this. I'm not sure if this is the problem, but the squeaks at least beg the question. Also, I did notice a...

    iPad 3 announcement

That video regarding the iPad 2 and 3 is a bit curious. They're only showing the home screen...maybe that's the difference? My wife has the iPad 2 and I held out for the third generation. I find that text is crisper and easier to read, especially small, fine text on the retina display...

    TDeSanto's Montero Mod Thread

Thank you. Yes, 3 Yakima clamp towers. The rack is approx 6 ft, I believe. It's the Yakima Load Warrior and 2 18" extensions. I think the cross bars are 48".

Screwed up mounting my Thule load bars....

I would think that is exactly where you'd want to mount load bearing bars...where there's more reinforcement. Without actually seeing what you're talking about and just using my imagination, it sounds like the perfect spot to me. I'd think longer bolts would be the way to go there...and...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Or, cut a dado down each side and rear panel to fit the base, then glue and nail (or screw) the base to the side panels. That would be super strong.
