PM'd you back, & some pictures of it:
...&!no matter what I do my iPhone keeps putting pictures up here sideways & upside down. I used to be able to correct them with my desktop, but don't have one setup out here...ugh!
-Bump-
Hauled that stuff out here, so pickup in Salem OR. I'll see if I can't edit the title...
On the note of "weeping" gas, that can was on my truck mostly full (?4-4 1/2gal) for the entire move Boston to here & I just took it off on Friday. Must have fixed itself or the lid tightened up...
It seems a super nice unit, if I was in the market.
I'm curious if you noticed what your actual power consumption was while in use? Interested folks may want to know as well.
Thanks!
Rharries-sounds like a decent instal.
Here's how mine with the hinge method looks:
And this is how the back plate / other hinge halves on my awning looks:
...& my standard apology for the upside down pictures...iPhone...ugh!
For the awning on my FP I did forum user Subterrans method by modifying some door hinges.
Check out his build starting around post #22 here:

My awning is a CVT which has...
Made it out to Oregon fine & unpacked (some). The rack is now for sale out here in Salem Oregon. I'll see if I can edit the thread title tonite, or start a new one.
Thanks!
Great points!
Just thinking on getting a "nice" dd w/4x4 for day trips a plus.
Something that would fit the garage at work would be nice. The alternate parking at work doesn't seem as secure. Safer than where I was in Mass, but it's a bigger lot & farther away.
Edit: adding; I could also get...
Not mine, but I am interested in what Montero folks think about this year & the options it has. High mileage as well, what would be a decent offer on it & things to look out for etc...I had an '88 2 door 4 cylinder stick way back in the day. Extremely capable little jeep. How might these...
Spotted another FP in the parking lot after a shop at the local Cosco on Monday. I had to take a picture of it!
I've seen a few in the past month since I've moved to Oregon. Nice! More than I've seen in the past year back East...
(...ugh upside down! Darn you iPhone! Darn you!...)
Wish I could go, moved too far away (Oregon), and don't have the vaca time yet. This is a really fun event. Dave & his wife and crew spend a lot of time & effort making it fun for everyone. Rides for all skill levels & really great folks!
If anyone is thinking about going, you should. Wish I...
Also, if you can find square tube that will nest tightly inside one another: short bigger section bolted on the utilitrac, just a few inches long. Narrower tube as the posts, slide them into the wider tube when you get to camp, clip on awning. Would seem quick & stable.
Heck might even be able...
Aha-found it.
Check out how user Subterran repurposed 2.5" hinges as awning mounts. Starts about post 22 of his pop-up build.

Might be helpful for your application. I'm...
Oh hey your welcome!
I'm pretty happy with the Bilsteins. Mind that this is my first truck, so I don't really have a baseline to compare to.
Stock kyb's I thought fealt a bit "squishy" to me. More luxury car like, if that makes sense.
The Bilsteins are very good IMO, a bit "stiffer" ride. I...
