For sale: Smittybilt WASP $100, local sale only-Boston area (can meet up in Dedham, Waltham, Framingham). These can be bought off Amazon for ~$175 shipped, so not worth it for anyone to want this one shipped (it's ?40-50 lbs), and I'd rather not anyways. I bought this off of Craigslist late...

WTB: Camp fire in a can

If no luck here before your trip, maybe check out the camco version of same: "little red campfire". Looks like amazon has it for $113 shipped. Mind that I have done zero research, so don't know if they are equivocal units or not...

    2 man nylon backpacking tents

Check if you have a JoAnne fabrics store nearby. The bigger ones carry a decent selection of outdoor fabrics. They have specials a lot of the time, so worth waiting a bit.

    Long-term in a Flippac

Shower-will depend on what you do, ie climbing/hiking/biking, then yeah a shower is great! I've gotten away with sponge bathing (wipes) as well as isopropyl alcohol (spray), still tend to stink after a while... brianjwilsons combo solar shower/wipes would seem ideal, wouldn't use up storage...

    Flippac torsion bar

Flippacs aren't FRP's primary business, it seems to me more of a "keep folks busy" in between the other projects they have. Probably why adventure trailers dropped them, they just just don't take there own Flippac business seriously - as far as most folks are accustomed to these days. Hit the...

I'm sure you're checking on the CL, but in case your not... Nissan Frontier Topper - $950 posted up from Helena. Might be worthwhile if they negotiate on price & would be willing to drive halfway.

Would a Flippac from a Ranger, fit on a A/C Tacoma.

Broken torsion bar? Hopefully you could talk the seller down to a very good price. I'd figure you should check the hinges to make sure that there isn't / wasn't extra stress placed on them. Or more importantly where they mount to. Check with the top flipped & check for play/cracks. Climb up...

Would a Flippac from a Ranger, fit on a A/C Tacoma.

Welcome! I honestly don't know, but user BillyBee posted up a bedsize chart over on a for sale thread. The only reason I remember the chart is because I bought the particular Flippac in the thread with the chart. Link to the post I'm thinking about. So it looks like...

BC Canada-1990 Mitsubishi Delica 4x4 van!

Dunno for certain how hard replacement parts are to get, but the Delica is around worldwide. I rode in one up from Osh to Irkishtam pass in '06, pretty darned nifty vehicle.

    WTB: Maxtrax

I didn't read the article, so take this with a grain-o-salt: mud not clearing out? Treat the bottom with something. PTFE comes to mind (Teflon), can buy it as a high % in bike lubes. They'll be "slippery" yet with the weight of a truck on them would grab (think shear stress)...
