thinking of converting from toyota to jeep, need some info...

If you're looking for used there's a slight chance you'll find a special order 2007 X model with a factory rear locker. I don't think they continued that option beyond the initial build year for the JK.

    Jk Build A or B

If you're set on an Overland build with 35s I'd recommend checking out the AEV 2.5". It's great on the road (wifey will like that), less expensive & wheels well. RK makes solid stuff and above are some good pros & cons of each. My buddies are probably the loudest anti AEV people in that JKO...

    Jeep JK cargo divider

I haven't seen it in person but here's the ARB Hayman Reese divider. You can see it on the ARB USA site under options for storage solutions and check out pricing at Northridge. I like the looks of the ARB but I ended up getting the Dirty Dog netting. Spendy but cheaper than the ARB and didn't...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

a good week! First off switched from an OME setup to AEV 2.5. On road it's noticeably better. Next decided to finally install the Gobi sunroof panel for some additional storage for the VT rally. Install is a piece of cake. also installed the Gobi axe/shovel bracket (yes, an axe -...

    Expedition JK

Your other rigs look cool. Love to see more of the FC! As for tires, honestly for the JK 35s will be more than adequate for an overland rig. 37s-40s if you play in serious rocks but the 35s will give you clearance & range (and decrease the infra$tructure need on the JK-shafts, regearing...

AEV JK rack is up on Quadratec

Looking forward to seeing the AEV in person. I'm sure it's functional but not for everyone. If I remember correctly AEV Dave has expressed a dislike for roof loads (such as an RTT) so it probably is more so designed for their yaks or lighter gear... And to keep freedom panels functional...

    Gobi Stealth JKU Owners

Congrats on the purchase. I really like my rack. I think the isolators are to help minimize rack flexing & add rigidity when under a load. If you're planning on carrying and serious weight it's been suggested to run corner guards instead of just the included strips. I'm running the AEV...

    Ruger Trailers Denver

Thank you for the reply! That's a fast time frame for building. I'm just starting my research & figuring out what I'd need/want. Provisions to mount a RTT are definitely on the list. Already looked at your website and I'll check out your FB page!

Jeep lineup in the next few years

I'd love to see a Willys line emerge. 2 door only & the size of a Samurai. It would be a sweet DD (save my 4dr Rubi for camping/kayaking trips, etc) abut still be capable.
