LAST CALL for photos!
If you have some great images from the Overland Expo 2010 and would like to win a Tilopa photo backpack from F-Stop Gear, today is the deadline for entries. I'm on the judges panel along with Colby Brown and Ian Miller and we're looking for some good stuff from you guys...
Brooke Stephens and Greg Stephens (viatierra)
Tim Huber (SOAZ) and James Lombardo (WhereTheHellIsJames?)
Doug and Walt (Overland JK)
Heidi (weezerbot ) and Josh
Linda (suntinez) and Wil (flyingwil)
I finally got to meet Linda recently when she visited us in Prescott before the Expo...
Pat, I will make sure to get together with you next time around. :costumed-smiley-007 Man, you nabbed some really cool shots.
A few more pics. . . lots of Expo members were there.
Nathan Hindman (pangaea)
Not sure who this is, but if you're here, speak up.
Tom Collins (c'mon Tom, stop...
I posted a blog entry on the Expo here. I shot photos for all three days so I'll post more up soon :) Thanks to all that took the time to chat with me. There were so many people I wanted to say HI to, but didn't get the chance. (Pat Bonish comes to mind - I was within feet of you on several...
That's beautiful. What an amazing place.
Hey Brad, I don't know if you got it sorted out, but here's a couple more ideas to try:
In Photomatix, try playing with the "smoothness" sliders, including "micro-smoothing" and watch how it affects the clouds. If the desired results appear for the...
That sounds great. I'll be back down in Mexico and Tucson in March, and then at the Overland Expo as well, so it sounds like we'll have an opportunity to get together. UofA eh? Cool! I'm originally from the Old Pueblo myself.
Nice report and photos! I like the Tacoma and tent. It looks like you had a successful trip with your now-capable little guys. Of the 41 nights of 2010 we've had so far, I've spent 21 of them in my Hannibal RT12 (same as the 1.2m, I believe). I love the Apache country in southern AZ where you...
Hmmm. . . looking at the small overhang in front of the vehicle with the top deployed, I'm imagining a hanging privy enclosure with four ground stakes - perfect for a shower.
The opening shots of the table incident are the best :sombrero: I like a guy who can laugh at himself. Two thumbs up!
Great photos, and a great truck. Here's to pretty ladies, remote beaches, and a comfy bed to crash out on
Great class! :victory:
I was impressed with how well everyone did. In contrast to the last WFA class I took, it was nice to have the CPR, travel medicine and vehicle aspects included. I posted some commentary, photos and a video up on the Overland Journal blog.
Many thanks to Graham, the...
This is not my truck, but I have been corresponding with Nick and Rochelle, who are currently using the 4Runner for a trip in South America. They want to fly back at the end of the trip and sell the vehicle. This would be a nice opportunity to buy a U.S. titled vehicle that is already equipped...
Yes, I've read some of David K's info and other posts on Baja Nomad regarding the canyon and the old Camino Real, etc. It looks like an epic Baja canyoneering experience. It's on my list of "to do"s. :costumed-smiley-007
Ok, I have to go check on thise Flickr pics. . .
