Awesome report Chris! :clapsmile
Congrats on the new ER Mike. They are indeed awesome vehicles. If you ever need a spot getting it through the Rubicon trail, just let me know. ;)
LOL, that photo of the towel is hilarious.
For those who didn't catch the announcement in FSC, Overland Journal hats and decals are finally available in our online store. Just visit www.overlandjournal.com and click on the "Shop" button. We have two sizes of decals, one is 4" x 6" (10cm x 16cm) and the other is 8" x 12" (20cm x 30cm)...
I love it! You've made some great improvements. So where do you store the stove when stowed, just right there near the back of the bed area? Again, it looks awesome.
I think Corey has sufficiently addressed your post. If you'd like to discuss the points of mounting tools or equipment on a vehicle, it would be best to start a new thread in the General Vehicle Modifications section where you are likely to get more interaction on the matter and it won't detract...
I am following up on Jonathan's article (Lightweight tents) with a main-feature equipment article on Family tents for the upcoming issue (Fall). There are six tents featured and the article is about 17 pages including op/eds and specs/comparison tables.

I'm a little late jumping in here. First off, thank you so much Mike for bringing your XJ and Kamparoo out to AZ for our testing session. It was a real pleasure to meet you and you offered a huge insight to the Kamparoo product from an owner/overlander perspective. That was great!
Thanks to...
Welcome to ExPo! It's an honor to have an Icelander here. My wife and I have been doing some research on Iceland and hope to make a visit. From what I can tell, you have quite an active 4wd community with an interest in conservation. The winter experiences look fantastic.
Phil, it was a great pleasure to meet you. I wish we would have been on a run together too. I really enjoyed your account of the Black Bear experience, that was great! I also really loved the vehicles you had in attendance. Top-notch! ;)
Yea, I decided to skip the trail run on Saturday and go hiking instead (and soaking in the hot springs cave:) ) The group shot on main street was cool, eh? We are so close, we'll just have to make it happen. A nice camp-out up in the Bradshaws would be do-able. Schedule is crazy right now, but...
What an awesome trip report! (I know it's a lot of work, so I admire you). It's great that you got to explore so many places before the Summit even started. Thanks for the tip on the Thai place. I love thai, so I will definitely pay them a visit. It was really great to meet you and Josh and see...
Nathan, those are great shots. Those guys need to hire you to follow them for the whole trip to make them look good. :)
******** at KC. You guys are ruthless.
Some things to consider are overall weight added to the vehicle and what type of sleeping arrangement you prefer.
1. Weight of setup: Choice of tent, and whatever mounting and storage configs you use vs. weight of a camper shell and whatever storage/bed config. you use. Less weight is better...
