Glad to hear it's still challenging. I'd like to go back and do it again, and hike down the canyon beyond the mission.
Connie, glad to hear your perspective and that they were all good boys. :)
Graham, I can't seem to see any of the pics you posted to the Flickr page. Love the shot of Coco and...
The last 1/2 mile or so of the trail is fairly technical so many vehicles will stop short and folks will hike in to the mission. There are some photos of the trail here. We need to get a report from Al on what the current conditions are like.
Alright, I'm reluctant to admit this in a public forum, but I've actually slept in a tent with Jeremy, in Mexico. All I can say is thank goodness Eezi-Awn makes tents larger than the 1200. . . and earplugs are mandatory. :)
LOL!! I didn't know Frodo was Overland Certified.
Very cool pictures Brian. I was hoping there would be some pics of the trek to Mision Santa Maria. Any more? Did any of the trucks do it?
How about photos of the pictos?
Any video from that headcam?
Those tacos look soooooooo good. :chef:
It will depend on a number of factors, and some searching here and on the TTORA forum will yield some real-world numbers from owners using various configurations. With stock, ornear-stock gearing ratios (in other words, gears adjusted to tire size) and stock weight/lightweight (GVW), you might...
My hunch is that Joaquin was injecting a little humor (sarcasm. . . like the whole banditos thing) or merely commenting on the mysterious phenomenon that once darkness falls on Baja, chance and coincidence seem to slide into another dimension and weird things can happen :)
Fantastic report and...
Nice job, Matt. And thanks again for contributing to the Overland Journal article. I double-checked that issue and your installation was indeed labeled as the Wrangler NW Power product (not Hellroaring). Brian DeArmon (Goodtimes) had the Hellroaring system featured. Maybe I missed something...
Updated the first post - the roof rack, OEM lamps, O2 sensor tool, and OEM ashtray assy. are all sold.
Still available: Sway-A-Way coils and AutoHome foam mattress with cover (perfect for a Tacoma camper or similar with cargo deck/sleeping platform)
Hi Ara, just checking in to see what you and Spirit are up to. I love the tent! It looks very cozy the way you added some personality and soul to it.

They couldn't have picked a more appropriate person for the job. I predict much success for both parties. :smiley_drive:
Congratulations to K.C. and Four Wheel Campers! :victory:
Ha! That's cool. That was a fun trip (same funny hat too).
That is Clay's wok on steroids. As I recall, a friend made it for him out of something, but I can't remember what it was. Send him a PM, he goes by SWDesertTaco.
Thanks to all for the nice comments!
I've posted a photo gallery for a trip that I did earlier this year:
Sierra Pinacate and Bahia Adair - Sonora, Mexico
There is a photo with the caption "Full circle" that has kind of a neat story behind it. Four and a half years ago I did a trip whereby we walked in the footsteps of Godfrey...
It's too big to ship regular Fedex or UPS (max. package size is 165 in. total) and freight costs are expensive ($288 for UPS) so local pickup is probably the best option on this item.
