Great photos and more importantly - congrats on getting hitched! Not sure what your plans are for TX travels, but Big Bend is certainly the highlight of the parks here. With 95% of the land privately owned, it limits the options for exploring. The hill country has some nice scenic drives, but...
Unfortunately if it sounds too good to be true on Craigslist, it is. A Google image search (right click on pic in ad) showed the same picture in this ad for $21k.

Not mine, no affiliation. Came across this on Bring A Trailer, so lots of people have seen it by now.. Needs cleaning, but could make an interesting rig that's different from the herd.

No affiliation, but an interesting option for something different than the herd.

That does look like a nice build. The seller is an ExPo member and has listed it for sale here also:

I believe it can do both. I think the top can be raised with the bed attached to the pop top to provide extra headroom, or the bed can be left at the original roof height and the pop top raised to provide a sleeping area.
No affiliation, just passing along info. Blank slate with Sportsmobile pop top.

That's a pretty slick setup. Efficient use of space with the pivoted seats supporting part of the bed cushions. Not sure how comfortable it'd be, but probably OK for supporting lower legs and feet. I still can't figure out what's supporting the cushions on the other end.
Here's one in Austin. No idea if this is a good deal or not, but thought I'd pass along the info.

2001 Ford Excursion Limited, 4x4, 7.3 Diesel, 245kish miles. $15.9k
Great build and thanks for taking the time to document it. Any van named after Lucinda Williams should keep some patina. But she probably still dyes her hair blonde, so a white roof seems appropriate.
It's also listed here by an ExPo member:

Looks well built (and a blast to drive).
I've got no dog in this hunt, but anybody who has read Park's blog knows he's done a fair amount of 4-wheeling. And he does own a Chinook, so I wouldn't say he knows nothing about larger rigs or has made silly assumptions. My take was that he was simply offering his insight as someone with a...
