Whoops, just realized might not be able to raise the tank, since I opted out of doing a body lift. Maybe just build a really heavy skid for it?

Not a whole lot more: transmission skid, trans temp gauge, still debating the rhino liner on the lower edges. I think that is about it. Well ok, maybe a gas tank lift and custom skid plate? :coffeedrink:

updates cont. Ok, after all these additions with relays, I needed to add a supplemental Blue Sea fuse box, but mounting issues in the engine bay were limited so I ended up making a mounting bracket and bolting it to the battery tray. Added some misc stuff, Cabela's Trail Gear seat covers...

updates cont. Trans light came on a couple times when I was off road and I noticed my condenser fan wasn’t working. Found a replacement new motor went about swapping it and wiring in an on off switch in the cab (from a thread I saw on here). Then I started to get a little carried away adding an...

    HELP: Transfer Case SHIFTER Problem!!

Quick Update on transfer case lever, w/Questions Ok, got my old lever out (red ball was long gone-nothing left). When I got the new (salvaged lever), I noticed the lowest most boot with the vent hole was split so that when the lever was in the 2wd position boot was wide open-see pic. 1st...

Well you'd be able to see in the non-driveline side , and better able to remove the gears (than w/diff cover on :coffeedrink:) or fish out a busted snap ring.

Regarding the magnet should it be affixed to the drain plug? Is the diff oil likely to get hot enough to reduce the magnet's power over time? I do have some dime size rare earth magnets in my tool box. My buddy suggested just pulling off the diff cover and be done with it; after replacing the...

CV update Good news/Bad news With the aid of a home made slide-hammer (thanks Youtube) got the stuck part of the axle out. Here is where the cv axle wasn't lovin' it on the trail. Hey, where did my balls go? :sombrero: Now the bad news, when it came out, only about a third of the snap ring...

@BOPOH, to drill two 180 degrees from each other you would have to drill through the thickest part (about a 1/2", of hardened material-already scrapped numerous bits). May do that if I can't get it any other way.

So I drilled three holes in the sides through the thinner sections. Tried using a gear puller to get a bite on it but no luck. Looking for a 3 prong gear puller w/a slide hammer on it, but will need to remove the shock to get clearance. I still don't understand why this one is so hard to get...

back from the dead I seem to have forgotten about this thread, before I rebuild the thread on what I have done since I need to ask a question. On a trip east of Red Bluff I gernaded the driver side cv axle and the transfer case bushing gave up the ghost leaving me in 4Lo (really 2 low I guess...
