Look into a marine sealent as the 5600 stuff made by 3M. Bonds and seals great, Boaters use it on threw hull installs. Got to be good if drilling a hole in the hull putting in a drain or intake and sealing it so it will not leak. Home depot carries it.
Not bashing the 10g wire thing please do not get me wrong, Nice little set up he made looks good and should work well. Just trying to be on the safe side that is all.
Well after the MTRV the system worked great. I arrived home plugged in the charger and it only ran for about an hour. In the past the charger would run for at least 5-8 hrs before the green charging would even come on dull. Very pleased.
I did something like that years ago 1/8 drill bit in to my index finger just behind the nails dead center of finger,all the way bone everything. Oh I forgot to mention a NON Reversable drill had to start it up to remove it, did not feel good.

Might open up the radio and see if there is a cold solder joint where the antenna cable comes into the radio and to the board that connects it. A small crack can really make a mess of things.
If you have the tow package on your vehicle it should be hooked up, take a volt meter or test light to find out. . With the key or ignition off there should be no power to the middle pin, start the vehicle and check for 12v, if the meter shows 12v or the test light comes on your in like Flynn...

Yes I did, the connector from the truck goes to the second battery for emergency starting and jumping, which is in the bed of the truck. The breaker is about 8 inches from the battery, I can also isolate it from the main battery too. The starting battery is only connected to the rear battery...
