    Rock'n in Hawaii - Nov 23, '06

I agree that would be a fun trip. So, sounds like you are going to Hawaii then? Where are you going? Any plans to get out on some trails? (hike, bike?)

    Battery Mounting Locations???

Great input Brian. Doug, I voted for #2. I like the idea of keeping it all out of the heat and between the axles, since you have the room to do that. This would also leave some space in the engine bay for you to add something else if you wanted to.

Wil, yes, that is Watson Lake. The Peavine trail (old railroad grade) that you walked the dogs on, now connects to the Iron King (old railroad grade) at the junction known as "entro" where there used to be an old station, and heads south and is open all the way to Prescott Valley. The Iron King...

NICE photos Scott. Did you by any chance do wipeout hill when you were at 7-mile? LOL - looks a little chilly in that first pic.

    Baja 500 (2007)

:xxrotflma It might just be another lucid dream, but I could swear the spudman told me there was another Andy Grider - strange I know, not exactly the most common name, let alone in the world of racing.

    fridge power consumption?

Rob, this is fantastic info you are contributing. Thanks. They have these on the EarthRoamers. Highly useful! ...and fun to watch in action. Now that is cool  Jeff, one of the most simple/economical setups that I can think of for your app. would be to run the accessories off of...

    Baja 500 (2007)

:jumping: :wings: :jumping: WT, those entries were for the Baja 500 this past June (06). The two names you cited just happen to be different guys who share the same names as the two guys we know. The Andy Grider we know was in a Class 10 car. Class 7 is open mini trucks.

Full Traction gets ahold of a 2007

Sorry, I just reread my post. I meant that there are some heim applications that can be rebuilt whereby the spherical bearing and race can be removed via a retaining clip. (off-road racing shocks being an example) I think typical off the shelf rod-end (heim) joints are probably swaged over the...

Full Traction gets ahold of a 2007

Thanks for the info GT. I am very familiar with heims, but not the cartridge joints. So I wanted to see what your reasoning was for one over the other. Very interesting. You can indeed replace the spherical bearing and teflon bushing on a heim joint though. It seems to me that maybe they both...

    Expedition TJ Buildup....

Very cool. Old Man Emu is on the scene. Let us know how it goes. The CO2 setup would be really nice to have in that location. Do you have on-board air yet? Are you planning on CO2 instead of a compressor?

    ARE Canopies

Sorry, I didn't catch this when you posted it Wil. I have no idea if you could upgrade to windoors or not, but it would be worth calling up ARE to find out if they would send you a set. You could install them yourself or have a local dealer do it.

Baz, your videos are showing a trend here! Like the last video of yours I watched, This one made me laugh pretty good just because of the audio :xxrotflma ...but sorry about the body damage. (ouch!) Looks like a super fun weekend though! (and ******** at the beer & ladder comment!)

Finally - a mod thread of my own!

Great news on the shocks. Congrats! I'd be tempted to get the springs too. Very cool to see there are quite a few Trooper owners here now. Lots of info exchange goin' on

Andrew, I'm a little late here, but welcome to the forum. Sweet Jeep! I can definitely relate about being bitten (quite hard) by the exploration bug. I think you will find that we seem to be coming out of the woodwork these days :D Your fellow explorer on 32"s, Chris

Adriana, it's looking really good! Congrats on the dig project. That is fantastic. Can you tell us more about what you will be working on? Or is it secret for now? Did you ever decide on a jack? Did you get the CD I sent? Too many questions? :p
