    New Overland Explorer Base Camp

LMK when you're in unappealing Oregon (hint; no one move here). Copy, just too bad there's not a better way to fill up the bag more before having to change it; but the smell would be too much.

2020 Ford F250 on 37s - Expedition Truck Camper Build!

Ha, definitely a slow start. But 4 more trips already planned over this winter. I can't add much to montypower's info, as I didn't put enough miles on my 33's (without flatbed/camper/etc) to get good data, and I still need to Forscan for 37" tires to see how my MPG shakes out. But averaging...

    New Overland Explorer Base Camp

BaseCamp is looking great Howard. Glad you're enjoying it. Regarding suspension, the factory F350 components leave a lot to be desired IMHO. Way too punishing and not properly tuned for actual loads. Come down to Oregon and drive my rig and you'll have a much better appreciation. Question on...

where are the Porsche cayenne expo builds?

This must have been before the thermostat was replaced? Goodness D&R, looks like we need to head for some Tim Horton's and join these folks for a trail run! Follower! :p Glad you're coming to the dark side buddy. Message me and I'll give you the 411 on 955vs957vs958. Onto my 2nd Cayenne now...

where are the Porsche cayenne expo builds?

Stock body protection save for custom front light bar (doubles as protection from animal strikes) and custom aluminum engine skid plate. ;) Hi Jim, As Otis' part-time caretaker, he is a gem of a 958 Cayenne that gets after it! Talk about reliability; -90degF wind chill on the Alcan5000 winter...

ATO AterraXL composite flatbed camper (pagoda roof)

Thx for the link to this recent profile story. I'm unsure how the superior AterraXL interior layout will work on a slide-in. We'll see. Would love to see OEV and ATO have an Aterra baby. PS--I'm still loving my #001. So easy to use, tons of space(more than I think I'll need), so far...

2020 Ford F250 on 37s - Expedition Truck Camper Build!

Thx Peter. I'm loving my Yoko X-AT's D-loads (6100lbs RAW) thx to all of your feedback. Will see what I do for the next set of tires.

2020 Ford F250 on 37s - Expedition Truck Camper Build!

LOL. Peter, what is your rig/camper weighing in at now? With all of your successful miles on your 37x12.5x17 Yoko X-AT (D load; 3525lbs at 50psi. 3ply sidewall), if there wasn't a good E load alternative (I'd consider the Toyo AT3), would you stick with the Yoko X-AT?

    2019 F350 6.2L 4WD build thread; HPI flatbed, ATO AterraXL composite camper, Carli/King, 37s, 4.88s, etc

Ok, please share your story, we're listening (although I'm covering my truck's ears)...

Sick of the 6.2? Copy that thx, I'll try this more often and report back.

    2019 F350 6.2L 4WD build thread; HPI flatbed, ATO AterraXL composite camper, Carli/King, 37s, 4.88s, etc

I'm out of it; a new 6.8L NA? Why spend the money engineering that vs just having the 7.3 as the only NA engine?? Bean counters make no sense much of the time, either for spending or lack of spending. Understood, but visiting my Ford wizard gets me time catching up, drooling over his latest...

    2019 F350 6.2L 4WD build thread; HPI flatbed, ATO AterraXL composite camper, Carli/King, 37s, 4.88s, etc

Not yet. Need to drive 6+hrs round trip for a Forscan re-do. Will advise further after that, especially now that the scan for 37s won't cause the CEL I was dreading. Copy that thx! Yeah I know, it was a lot of surmising on future weights and data mining, but I must say, thx to @montypower's...

Hella 4000: Free Form vs Euro Beam

Thx all. Stitebunny I haven't found any videos showing 4000 Fog real life output, and the beam pattern shown on the Hella site is so short I worry it wouldn't be enough light output onto the road for me. I have BajaDesigns SquadronPro in Amber/WideCornering(Fog) on my truck, they're about 1/6th...

    2019 F350 6.2L 4WD build thread; HPI flatbed, ATO AterraXL composite camper, Carli/King, 37s, 4.88s, etc

It's been treating me well, no issues, no qualms. I'm not sure I should drive a 7.3 Godzilla/10spd or then I might kick myself, but I'm still happy/confident with my decision to stick with 6.2/6spd. So far up/down hills in full Auto mode (even with 4.88s the truck likes to shift early and that...

Yep, from my data, HPI was almost dead nuts on. The black cushy grab handle? Haven't seen any sweating yet from it or the rear accessory rack, but I'll look closer as the temps continue to drop.

Hella 4000: Free Form vs Euro Beam

Haha, we're OG's! :) Ok, so the Driving with Position light as they call it. Great feedback, thx! After finding out how comparatively inexpensive the 700FF's are, and they're also not as deep, I'm going to look at them first. A bit less bright overall vs the 4000's, but easily less than 1/3...

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

Agreed and understood for a family of 3. Don't have that many people in mine so it works. Also note that so far I haven't used the Wrappon coagulant bags so my only cost is the white poly bag vs the coagulant packet and white bag. Will see how much the smell goes away by using the coagulant...

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

Not to take off topic from OEV too much, but for those comparing; Ver2 Aterra's will have a slightly higher roof (2-3" IIRC?), and they're moving the 3 dinette windows up many inches (why they set my Ver1 windows down too low, I guess for eyeline sight when sitting in the dinette, but they would...
