What would I be missing/gaining...Excursion vs Sequoia??

The Excursions are neat machines, always admired them. Don't count the Sequoia out so easily, though. It shares much with the 200 Series Land Cruiser, so the chassis and driveline are overbuilt and very durable.

Is the Toyota Land Cruiser based on the Tundra or Tacoma?

Yes, the 2007+ Tundra, 2008+ Sequoia are based on the 200 Series Land Cruiser. The 100 Series chassis was never used for anything but the 100 Land Cruiser. T100 shares much with the 86 - 95 truck and 4-Runner. 2000 - 2006 Tundras are somewhat Tacoma based.

    1987 Turbo SR5

I had a black on tan 86. One of my favorite trucks. Add the 5 speed trans, better turbo, and intercooler… it'll be fun.

Educate me: 100 vs 200 series to replace my jeeps

I respectively disagree. The 200 chassis is quite HD... just about all of the problem areas, if one wants to call them that, on the 100 were addressed with larger and/or HD designs, some significantly so. The 200 is FAR closer to a 70 Series in build and design than a LR4 is to a 110. Some...

Educate me: 100 vs 200 series to replace my jeeps

The 200 has more support than is easily realized, this is due to having much in common with the Tundra.

    2nd Gen Tundra Differential Problems

The CV shaft was the only thing I could think of that may have gone wrong with the repair. The Land Cruiser 200 uses the same front differential, but being AWD, it does not have or need the needle bearing to support the CV stub. The stub rides right in differential case, and there is no issue.

    2nd Gen Tundra Differential Problems

The inner CV stub axle and the needle bearing it rides on are the real issue. Either the bearing was spec'd a bit loose, or the the diameter of the stub axle was slightly small. The new differential has a tighter bearing for the stub axle to ride in.... BUT, sometimes the stub shaft is damaged...

91 LC: Are they really this slow?

Find a 93+ (the one I am selling would not be a good choice, or meet your budget). 57 more hp, optional lockers in the axles, full floating rear axle.

    New Cooper All Terrain ATW

All five of mine just arrived, build is 37/14, just a month old. The 275/70R18 is a bit more aggressive than the units pictured on the Cooper webpage... perfect. Here's a tread pic, any others, just ask.

    1968 Chevy K10 SWB Overlander

These engines have three siamesed intake ports with head bolt bosses running right through the middle of each, it's weird setup and not the typical port job. With that said, there are tons of mods that people do to these heads, all well documented.... and the engine can be taken very far from...

    1968 Chevy K10 SWB Overlander

Yes, you just need to keep the tube diameter small. A dual 2" would likely work well. Running a short system will require more sound control, so a large muffler should be utilized. Headers can offer gains, but their longevity and sealing abilities can be questioned... My brother in law runs...
