Lets see some full size pictures...

Oops, I did it again. Another orphan followed me home. 91 F250HD, 7.3 idi, 5 speed. Really nice unmolested truck. I pulled the front bumper off to tow it.

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Work, work, work. Progressing at the rate of parts arriving. It's getting cold. Thankfully it's been dry. I found these heater pipe connectors that I will use as bulkheads through the camper wall. I also ordered a pin connector but can't find my pin removal tools so I had to order some.

    F250 flatbed camper build

"extra overhang on the back which is annoying." Looks like you still have plenty of clearance on the rear and the proportions look good.

Diesel Heater Ducting? What to use?

I found some Flexadux on ebay for a good price. Now I have to figure out how to get it through the wall. I'm going to run three hoses into the camper and one into the cab of the truck.

Diesel Heater Ducting? What to use?

I tried to find online what the temperature is coming out of the heater but everything I found was about converting watts.

Diesel Heater Ducting? What to use?

The heater I have comes with four 1.5" diameter ports. I plan to route them to different areas of the shell. I have converted the rear seat of my crewcab to storage that includes my house batteries. I was thinking of routing one of the heater ducts to the cab to keep my batteries cozy too. Am I...

Does that live outside in the sun and cold?

Diesel Heater Ducting? What to use?

I'm mounting a diesel heater to a roof rack and then running hoses into my hard-sided camper shell. What is everyone using for ducting? Some cheesy cardboard type stuff came with the heater. It's not enough and doesn't look like it will stand up to the weather. Let me know what you have used. I...

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Rough mock up of the storage under the nose cone. I want the tank fill to be on the same side as my truck and I have this surge tank sitting around. The diesel heater need to go there so I can slide the camper window open, reach out and adjust it if needed. Why have a window that you can't...

I have a new set of Milestar Patagonia XT's that I've been dying to try out. I'm doing an overhaul on my truck so I haven't had a chance to get them out yet. The snow is coming, I better get to it. I have the same issue as many. I'm in Arizona so I might see rocks, silt, mud, highway and snow...

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Finally getting somewhere. I have the roof rack version 2 at about 90 percent. The nose cone tilts forward so I can use the space under it. Underneath I'm going to mount the diesel heater and tank. I will also mount another 100 watt solar panel on top of the cone. That will give me 200...

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Making some headway. I wish my fabrication skills matched my imagination. So far everything lines up nicely. It's going to fit! Pardon the crappy cell phone pics.

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

I picked up a surprisingly flat piece of plywood at home depot today. I'll set the plywood on some steel tube then use that flat surface to measure from. Since the truck bed was empty, I decided to weigh it. Only the spare in the bed and one tank full it's 7260lbs.

    Help me pick a F450!

C&C all the way. It's designed to do exactly what you want to do.

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Except it's not on a level surface. I don't have a surface that's level. I'm thinking I will set it on a flat sheet of plywood and make a fixture at the desired height that I can move on the plywood. I can slide it around the nose cone. If they can build pyramids, I should be able to figure this...
