Minor correction; 4.30/37"s are the same as 3.73/32.1"s(275/65/18), but if someone has the optional OEM 275/70/18's(33.2") with 3.73 and they wanted to upgrade to 37"s, they'd need a new ratio of 4.16 gears to be equivalent to "stock." Of course the 4.30 would cover that easily...
Don't you have to have a sink in the bathroom or something for it to be considered an RV? (Tom with The Lost Box had to do this, for AZ IIRC). Perhaps this is state specific?
Peter, if you were paying for a re-gear for 37s, knowing you're happy with your 4.30's/37s, Zach likes his 4.88's/37s, why wouldn't you go with 4.56 as kind of a sweet spot(bit lower revs, maybe a bit better MPG, bit thicker/stronger gears)? Just curious is all.

LOL.
SuperCab--maybe you mean [SuperDuper]CrewCab? I'll link to a new build thread from here once I get the "new" truck.
I agree that RAM definitely has Ford beat on the diesel fuel capacity (26.5gal midship + 40gal aft-axle = only 66.5gal total for the Ford. Not an option for my petrol V8...
Thanks to both of you.
Ah, it's a Carli hitch vs under-bed tire carrier. Well I'm really happy to hear that the factory tire cage can accept a shaved 37". Will save me from a custom rear-mounted tire swingout!
"-37s and 4.30 gears = 10-12mpg average with the camper loaded on trips in mtns and...
In my experience, this rings true for most reviews that are auto-related; most people haven't experienced enough options to be able to compare clearly. Take their mileage life with a grain of salt too; one guy gets 10k on the tires and 3 others are getting 50k. Who knows if they're all...
Wonderful info, thanks!
Any web link to more info on the Carli spare tire cage?
Better mileage with 37s/4.56 vs 37s/4.30, even though you're turning higher rpm's now? Or maybe because you're now turning higher rpm's and not lugging the engine like you would with 4.30s or 3.73s, and the larger...
Typically E load is 10ply, D load is 8ply.
I don't know why few if any 37" tires are made in E load vs D load (D's have a higher load rating at lower psi). Asked here, but didn't get a solid answer...
Well, I initially considered a SuperCab 6.75'bed (just as I did originally in chassis cab form, before I decided to go regular cab for the shortest overall truck. If I would have originally gone with SuperCab chassis cab then we'd be keeping it now for the new camper.) vs CrewCab 6.75'bed to...
Well buddy ol' pal, I'm glad you didn't forget the extra fuel (but it's 6gal, not 4gal LOL).
"New" F350 will be provisioned with an extra 16gal of the special sauce, so 34gal mid-ship + 16gal extra = 50gal (10gal more than the chassis cab). ?
And don't even ask about the cost to keep the dogs...

Factory Ford data card will give axle part #s (ie S413J for a '19 F350 4x4), but those #s would need to be decoded somewhere--the data card won't specifically say D80, D110 or D130.
Take this with a grain of salt, as the info contradicts itself; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dana_S_110
