anyone used these for a short term headliner fix?

They would work to an extent. My DI has an "epoxy" headliner which looks to me like rhinoliner sprayed onto the headliner form. It might not be that simple but it sure looks like it. It was done before I got the truck so I am not sure of the process. They used a flecked tan material that looks...

    Possible 1960 Series II Build...

This is turning into "it takes a village to build a rover"! If the NC crew works together I think we can help Brian decide if this is for him and so on! Looking forward to pics and they will help us help you. At first pass I've got to agree that $1500 might be a little high if it doesn't run...

    Possible 1960 Series II Build...

Arggh! Fellow Pirate. Where are you and the LR located? I'd be happy to look it over for you or if you can post or send me some pics it would be easier to form an opinion on price and budget ideas. When you mention it had to be pushed by a tractor because it won't roll that sounds like you've...

    FS - 1993 FZJ80 Rock Truck - Hickory, NC

So they cut up that sweet 80 and made it into a caged crawler? I guess the roll over damage was extensive.

That it is in Ann Arbor is perfect and hilarious. Same car as featured in the current OJ trekking across Kazakhstan.

    LR3 - LR4 Resources

Don't own one but I was struck by a comment about the terrain system in that it made running trails almost too easy as the truck just handled it all automatically. He also made the observation that everyone seems to make in that Land Rover and complex electrical/computer systems are not known as...

Odd request-can someone post a pic of the dip stick on a 3.9?

Thanks, I think I saw that hole on the D/S- I'll plug it tomorrow until I can find a dip stick to put back in there.

Is that D/S or P/S? (LHD)

Odd request-can someone post a pic of the dip stick on a 3.9?

It appears the oil dip stick on my DI was left off or got lost somewhere along the way. I ordered the CD ROM of the manuals but so far the two I've received have problems with loading the PDF's so no diagrams yet. I think I spotted the hole where the dip stick and tube is supposed to go but I...

Setting a Disco I up for expedition travel

I'm just guessing here but as her "newest" car is on the eve of 50 I think a coiler might induce a severe case of whiplash due to the level of mostly unnecessary complexity found in a "modern" vehicle like a DI. With a combo of a Series and a TR3A-who needs anything else? Now putting a coil...

Setting a Disco I up for expedition travel

The build thread and article that Scott Brady did on his DI build touched on a good level of modifications for this type of use. Of the V8's I think my 3.9 is the most field serviceable as it still has a dizzy but a 300Tdi is a way better choice world wide. Rust along the sides of the cargo...

Flat towing a Range Rover Classic.

If you would rather trailer-I rented a twin axel U haul car hauler w/ surge brakes when I picked up my IIa-it was was a one way tow and only cost $99. Nice find-hope it works out!

The saga of my 98 Discovery...

Yes! First outing with the DI! Hoping the O ring solved it for you-that makes sense that a bad seal would allow too much pressure out and trigger the light.

    Another LR in the works!

Any mention if they were discontinued? Thanks for checking! I see the 24# injectors on that site but not the 19# -the write up on the 24# gives me pause as they are intended for re-calibrated hi-flo systems, that doesn't sound like a underpowered 3.9 to me. I've found some for about $100 more...
