I agree-the black top doesn't work very well. I guess the plastic headlamp mounts where bolted onto the wings to align with grill which appears to have been pushed forward to fit the engine (?) If I had the choice it would be hard to pass on the classic bronze green with a limestone roof top but...
Yeah it would be but if we could get a small group together and take 2 days to get there it could be fun. I've got a lot of work to do (and $$ to spend) but August does give me time. The trails out west sure would be nice to ride.
I remember when the LaForza was profiled in Automobile Mag along with the other higher end 4x4's of the day. If I recall it did OK on their test but the RRC and FJ62 took the day. They also profiled the publishers custom 89 Suburban with lift, tires, full leather interior (even headliner), some...
Dale, if the Disco is ready I am in. The IIa to CO might be pushing it time wise but what a trip it would be, 2 lanes all the way.
I see you've added to the list- does the Ural have a side car?
Is that the foam type like you put over conduit pipe?
Nice DII and nice to see another NC member!
Hope to see you at Uwharrie this april for the CROC Safari.
Wow 6 pages and no one tried the obvious wench joke!? This place is too polite:costumed-smiley-007
Ok, ok I'll take the lead.....in a disco one is enough as any more and they just get jealous of each other...there it's been told, we can all move on..
Heck yeah its time! Do you want the 4 pc for travel reasons? A 2 pc will have a better action. The more breaks in a rod the more you loose. There are other great options unless your set on the orvis. I started with the 7' 9" orvis and it was a fine rod with a USA blank. The tip broke years...
Yep-flyfishing can get as bad or worse than 4x4's
You looking for a rod or already have one. I don't get to trout fish like I used to-live too far away now. Still haven't got into bass on the fly, it's fun but just not the same as wading in a mountain stream for trout.
One of the thing on my...
Tuffy does make a locking box/center console for the D90, the other option I would think is to bolt something to the frame rails and sit it right behind the front seats.
My IIa has a small box under the right front floor that was built between the gas tank rail and the outrigger frame rail...
Hmm get a well used and in need of repaint SD or get a new Bajarack for pretty much the same money-kind of an easy choice. Thanks for bringing this out-my DI build is in need of a rack.
Look into diffs before axles, they are the weak point especially with that additional torque. Rovers North has an HD bumper. The core of the bumper is steel so just the corners are plastic.
it you get into a dusty/muddy trail or have something splatter onto your windshield while on the hwy you would miss the washer and it could be a potential safety issue so I would keep it. Is a snorkel something you really need? If so and you go the P/S route I can see using a flex pipe to fit...
