Democratic Republic of Congo: Lubumbashi to Kinshasa

I am liking this side of the river much better than the other side-I can tell from your writing that there is a much more friendly vibe from the people. Even though you hit a very low point you're overall tone is more bright.

Democratic Republic of Congo: Lubumbashi to Kinshasa

I'm guessing this adventure has already completed as it doesn't sound like you had anything close to internet access in DRC? If it is real time, how are you posting these updates? I am loving the adventure and I am feeling concern for you both at this point.

Arghhhh! That you've made it this far without a mechanical is a miracle and a testiment to your driving and the 70 series Land Cruiser. I hope you post the resolution of this problem soon or I woud be able to sleep tonight! + whatever the total is that this should be published.

You miss the analog quality of shooting film too?? I have to say the sound and feel of the new to me F4s is very nice. I've never had the pleasure of shooting a Leica rangefinder but I do plan to do so someday.

Democratic Republic of Congo: Lubumbashi to Kinshasa

What an amazing report, you surely have the hand of God guiding you through this episodic adventure. When I look at the faces of the children in your pictures you can see the wonder and innocense, this seems to disappear with the adults and from what you are writting the corruption and averous...

I'm afraid I don't know everyone yet so I don't know his name. I do know that I was seated in the unlucky section! That was the one I was thinking of, I guess I need to join CROC now as well.

Yeah I'll go again,I'm not sure if the December trip will work out but the one on April should. I was a little nervous about taking the IIa on the trai, mainly because I had to drive it home but it was designed for that kind of use and was definately in it's element.
