As always, great report Chuck! The falcon/avocet encounter is just too cool. I like how you can see the avocet leg sticking up in the second pic! I need to go do those canyons again sometime. That has probably been my favorite paddling trip so far.

I have hiked Sycamore, it's a sweet little canyon. Some really cool rock formations back in there including a hole you can barely (if at all) squeeze through. My wife and I have explored a fair amount of the Gila including some incredible backpacking. I have been to a lot of the hot springs...

My wife and I used one (Stearns Safari Shower 6 gal. model blue/silver) in Baja for 4 months and it worked great. Definitely has the KISS advantage. No moving parts (except the shower rosette slides open and shut) no batteries, no filters, etc. The water can get so hot you'll have to pour some...

Very cool :clapsmile I like 'em too. The cases they use really impress me (based on first hand experience down in Mexico once :eek: ) and I really like the unlimited charging current with heat being the only limit - how cool is that? :cool:

If you go with blades, you can also use Smart Fuses, which are pretty cool. However, I really don't think it's that big of a deal if you use the glass fuses. Just pick the one you like best and go for it.
