Awesome thanks. Yeah something is up with my fridge because it is tilted back still with the feet screwed al the way in. Thanks for the pics. This helps.
Got 95% of the plumbing done before I ran out of crimps. I sanded all the pine and got a coat of primer sealer on the wood. Man that stuff isn’t as easy as regular paint to work with. My maple counter tops showed up and in fine form I cut one 1.5” short. Blah. I can laminate a board on it but I...
My Unique fridge was delivered and has a couple small dents at the bottom of the door. Interestingly enough it only has feet on the front of the unit. This makes it site at an odd angle. When I tipped the fridge over to see if they were missing, I noticed there is no real place for feet or...
Some progress shots from today. I finally settled on a place for the water heater. It was about 4” too tall everywhere I wanted to put it. I think this will work though. I decided that since this is a winter machine that I wanted it in the conditioned space. Because of that, it’s direct vent and...
Thanks for the words of encouragement. Sometimes I lose sight of what this thing looked like not too long ago! I am fortunate to have more free time on my hands these days due to Covid.
Yeah, I think those slides will be left til later. I might even do some trips before I look at that again. I...
Just building cabinets. I really don’t enjoy this part but it is nice to see it slowly come together. Don’t mind my messy work space. It’s getting pretty bad.
The fridge cabinet is going on top of that cabinet in the last picture
Th extra insulation works both ways. The fridge actually creates heat and needs to get rid of it. The Unique manual states that it is optimum to have 3" of air space all around the fridge for air flow. I have a cabinet door I won't be using behind where the fridge is going to go. I was going to...
The 6.0 cubic foot one. Probably the same as yours judging by the picture. It is going into an ambulance conversion. https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/gmc-ambo-conversion-roof-raise.218283/
I pulled the trigger and ordered it this morning. I have the room(ish) and there are a lot of trips where there are 3 of us for almost a week so I think ultimately, when we need it, we won't regret having the extra space. The fact that it doesn't use any more power than a TruckFridge sold it for me.
I finally looked at these. They seem pretty great. For the same power draw and price they are double the capacity of the truck fridge. Now I'm wondering if it would be TOO big. Would like the space in my fridge or if I would prefer slightly more cupboard space?
Well it’s starting to look a bit more like a kitchen. I also got the drawer slides for the head installed. I’m trying to figure out where to put the air conditioner that came with the unit. I can turn the heat exchanger on it’s side correct? It’s just the compressor that has to be in the...
I started up on the cabinet cases again. Hopefully by end of tomorrow I’ll have the kitchen ones more or less finished. I also made some more progress on the drop down bed frame. I still need to counter sink some holes, paint it up, and treat the slats before it gets reinstalled.
Well I repurposed an old oak table top for my riser. I also got some HD drawer sliders installed. I wish I planned to router them before I install the 2x8s
I installed a vent off the water tank today that goes up and into my dry room. Probably over kill but I know how far hydraulic pressure can send water sometimes. The vent line also doubles for the hot water prime return. You can turn a valve so the hot water will recirc back to the tank so you...
It’s just an cheap 2000# atv winch. The gear boxes on a winch are noisy but since the duty cycle will be so low I’m just going to try to load insulation around it. The speed on it is perfect.
