I think it will really depend on where it is priced. If they limit the engine to being available only in the premium trim levels like they do with the Grand Cherokee diesels, it will simply price it out of range for most people. Ideally the engine option would end up similar or a bit higher than...
If its of any help to anyone, here's a link to my 'Truck Comparison' spreadsheet I made while truck shopping. I was mainly looking to compare overall size, wheelbase/turning ratio, and to some extent power/mpg/towing ratings. Not all of this data is from the manufacturers as its hard to come by...
I'll chime in from the point of having just bought a current gen Double Cab Tundra. In my opinion the back seat is just fine for adults on long trips. Soon after I got my truck I did a 6 hr road trip with 2 friends in the back seat, including one who is 6'3" who sat behind my wife (5' 7")...
I'm just about ready to buy a camper shell for my '12 Tundra Doublecab, I am pretty well decided on an ARE V-series with vented windoors. A question came up today during discussion with the local LEER dealer, who warned me that they don't recommend the vented windoor option due to having issues...
Out with the old, in with the new.
The new Tundra and old T100 got to do one last road trip, delivering the T100 to its new owner in the bay area. Tundra won't be much of an off-roading rig, but should be much more suited to towing my '62 Scout 80 to some fun places to explore:)
I recently replaced all the steering joints on my T100, and bought myself 2 sizes of similar ball joint pullers from Proto tools. Well worth the money, they turned a job I'd not been looking forward to into a very easy process.
Thought I'd update this thread with my install into my new tundra: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/83571-Tundra-Bed-Rail-Alternative?p=1177382#post1177382
My new Tundra didn't come with the Toyota deck rail system, and after seeing the similar setup that a few friends with Tacomas have I decided I'd do something a bit sturdier. I used L-Track, sometimes called airline seat track, cut to length and drilled to attach to the factory screw holes. The...
Typical rule of thumb is to re-check lug nut torque after a few street miles.
Are these the type of spacers that bolt onto the stock lung nuts, and have a second set of lugs that you mount the wheel to? I'm guessing the spacer came off the hub, and stayed with the wheel?
Seems easier to me to...
I'd be interested in the 33x10.5's, have no use for the wheels though, so shoot me a price if you're willing to separate.
Weird size combo, guessing it was on a buggy?
I've got toyota pickup Aisin manual hubs on my T100, was a simple bolt on replacement for the stock drive plates. I added a 1.5" ball joint spacer lift and didn't want the axles turning all the time with the increased CV angle. I really doubt you will see a significant different in mileage, but...
Nice work, I like it a lot. A rear bumper is next on my list, after I get my sliders welded on. Seems the rear overhang sorta wants to drag on everything on these trucks.
Not sure exactly where this should go, feel free to move if this isn't the place.
Really well shot and edited video documentary of an expedition to the Ennedi Desert to climb natural spires for the first time.

Good to see someone working on parts for something other than Tacomas :) I've been working on a set for my T100: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-O7t1xfE8eBo/TeRvhnWi2gI/AAAAAAAACvQ/GU7ra7OaFiM/s640/IMAG0201.jpg
FYI for a T100 extracab 85" length works out good. Mine are 2x2 square main tube...
Dunno what the official ratings are, but I get a pretty consistent 18 mpg on long highway trips. '96 extracab T100, 33x10.5 tires, auto trans, 196k miles. Good enough for me.
