Good point. The tank weighs basically nothing when empty, but it does space the spare out quite a ways. Does your tailgate sage when open with the tank empty? -Dan

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that. Sucks. For what it's worth, my AEV carrier is built like a tank, and doesn't move budge no matter what I put on it. It's also easy to open the whole rear everything with one hand, and it has quite a bit of weight with the spare+hi-lift+max traxx+shovel+titan...

It's an ongoing question for me too. I also have a Mr. Funnel that's going to get smelly that needs a home. Right now I have them in the heavy duty plastic bag, in the rear cubby, which I made a steel lid for. Time will tell if the fumes will be too strong. Maybe leaving them in the sun for 5...

Sounds nice... Like the 3.6L engine we have now. What you said is that with light driving we have great mileage, and with a heavy foot we have fuel consumption like we have now. Sounds great to me! -Dan

I tend to agree. I honestly think 3.0 and 400 ft. lbs. is too much for the wrangler, especially the 2 door. The only reason (and it's a big one) they might go for the 3.0 ecodiesel is that it's already in the parts catalogue, and dealers are already trained in servicing it, etc. -Dan

They have announced they are shuffling around plants and will not loose a single day of Wrangler production during the changeover. -Dan
