WOW, both interiors are very nice (I REALLY liked the map). This is a unit that I would have loved when I was single, or just married. A unit small enough to be practical but nice enough inside that you can really enjoy it and if the weather is bad you are still comfortable. Heater is a great...
As far as image quality both Nikon and Canon are very close - if not the same.
In years past it was the speed of the Canon autofocus system that was the big difference for sports, wildlife and news shooters and I know a lot of pros that switched for this benefit and have not gone back to Nikon...
Lots of very good ideas. For me the choice comes down to the following:
- I love the van idea but for longer term living not having a dedicated bed is a pain. I like having a bed in my TC that serves as a bed and doesn't have to be folded up for sitting.
- A hard sided for long term living is...
For that price you couldn't go wrong. Is the new one the same size? Is your faucet on an angle to the wall or square? Mine is in the back corner of the cupboard behind the sink and on an angle so not a lot of room to work with.
I have a 92, no problems so far with mine thankfully. If you are 100% sure that it is the O rings get some and be done with the repair.
I am sure that it won't be an easy replacement job to find a faucet that will fit the space, cut outs, etc. Seems that everything on my unit is a unique size...
Other than one post I think that this thread had very little to do with the quality of the units in question. Have people had issues? Sure they have. But I think that can be expected of just about anything that is pushed to the limits - how many RV's could stand up to the travel and being lived...
I am soooooooo tempted, if I had a garage I would be on my way to Calgary now.
I want to do a van with 4 captains seats, fridge, cassette toilet, possible bed and storage for photo gear. That way I would not have to take the big truck.
Just saw this, VERY tempting to buy. Do not see a lot around these parts and it looks in good shape as well.

I have no idea what the van is like, just saw on line.
I understand your frustration with not getting a response. I run a small business and I am the one that replies to E-mails, phone calls and people stopping in, but me being busy is no excuse to not responding.
ANY company that wants to get (and keep) business needs to have figured out what...
Welcome to the club (or just about).
A lot depends on what you want and what you are gong to do.
Honestly if this is your first TCer then I would say buy used. Get something that you like, don't spend a fortune, do some repairs to learn about the good and bad and go from there. Then if you...
I have a TCer with the standard RV toilet and most times I love it. Use it many times, find an RV dump to empty and start over again. For standard camping I would never look at changing to anything different.
I do have two issues with the standard toilet for my type of camping - first it is...
I have steps similar to the glow steps and while they work they do not have a great feeling of stability.
If you build add a railing, REALLY nice in frozen or wet weather.
