I tell you what boys this little tent is an absolute champ. Found it at Academy for half off. Pops up and down in 2 minutes. Probably the easiest set up for a camp site ever.
Took the truck back to the shop that did differential overhaul. A weird grinding noise reared its ugly head the other day.
On the bright side really good camping weather has rolled into Florida. Over the past weekend the days were low 80s and nights were mid 50s.
Going to try to snag a spot...
7.3 gasser is a good motor. 30k ain't much for them based on the limited timeline they've had. Sounds like there are already hot shot trucks with 200k and no issues.
That's one of the things I've noticed too. Either they're trucks with 1000 hp and everything that can be done to bullet proof it has been done. The costs a premium and you're left with a truck that wasn't economical to start with even more of a money pit.
Or you find these trucks that nothing...
Listen to @tacollie. If its in your budget is the huge caveat. If I were to buy a truck right now it would be a F250 w/7.3L Godzilla, SCAB and 6.75 bed.
A F150 and F250 with SCAB and 6.5 bed will be the same length if I'm not mistaken, so turning radius should be the same. Once loaded down the F250 may have better mileage tbh, but unloaded it's gonna feel like... well like an unloaded 1 ton truck.
But you're right, the lift kit price will...
I'm gonna tell you, the time and effort you'll put into finding one you could have found a F250 with a 6.5 bed and be about even. Plenty of posts on the F150 forums with guys looking for HDPP trucks on the used market and either bought new or moved up truck size. Although I've never seen someone...
Sanded, painted and applied truck bed liner spray onto side steps. They had a ton of paint torn off around where the tires would flip rocks and stuff into it.
Also got in there and applied fluid film in the rocker panels and resealed them.
