Ahh, gotcha. The crank is actually needed and must be accurate, it's the cam that can be made up. Makes perfect sense. Nice work on making your swap even simpler and cheaper. -Dan

That sounds like something is being manipulated. A 40 ft. container is only around 20% more than a 20 ft... and you can fit two vehicles in the 40ft, so typically when shipping, it's almost 1/2 price to put two in a 40. -Dan

AEV are well known for their custom one-offs. Did you ask if they'll just do the frame extension and a few other bits and pieces and leave you to do your own flatbed? -Dan

For got to mention too - make the drive up to Dawson City, then across the Top Of the World Highway. It spits you out in Tok Junction AK, and hardly adds any distance to your overall trip. It's extremely worthwhile, because the AK highway itself is basically a boring highway. Take the detours...
