Hope someone can help me:
I read a build thread on a sprinter, where the guy placed a shower right in the entrance of the sliding door. He used a bilge pump for the water. I just can`t find that thread any more. Would be awesome if someone can direct me to it.
Yes, there`s a driver suspension seat. Not driven much with it yet but i already love it. :victory:
It`s some really bad paint on those vehicles. There`s lot of rust where you wouldn`t think of it. Like in the middle of the rear quarter panel. Then you remove the mud flaps and everythings in...
Polished the headlights:
Not perfect but better:
Then i finally did some test driving:
Also opened the rear folding windows:
Maybe i opened them too much:
Looks better than i thought it would...
Finished working on the front axle today:
Really like the new tires:
Then i started doing some bodywork:
Removed the front door, but i won`t be able to do the dent removal by my own:
Then i put the passenger seat in:
And removed some more rust:
Replaced the inner left cv boot today:
The differential is also ready to go back in:
But first i replaced the left wheel bearing:
This is how it looked:
Put the differential back in:
And had wo remove two broken bolts from the bumpstop mount:
Messed around with some tires today:
Picked the best 8 rims, all those on the picture will get scrapped:
Didn`t like the rubber valves so i replaced them with some metal ones:
Really easy to mount, just needed some help to air them up:
Nice size:
The 235/75R15 are just about in the middle between the stock tires and your`s. Your`s would be too big for me, cause i like to use chains and need just that little extra clearance. I think this`ll be the perfect size.
Got the differential back on friday:
Also ordered some new tires. Nokian Rotiiva AT for summer time, Cooper Discoverer M+S for the better time of the year, both in the 235/75R15 flavour. Can`t wait to see the new stance with the bigger tires...
Got a call from the tranny shop, they`ll finish the front differential tomorrow. Also a lot cheaper than expectet...
You remember this one?
Didn`t like that...
So i put a piece of tool steel in the lathe...
...and the mill:
And made a tool for those nuts:
Yeah, i hope it works out...
So i cut the bench seat mount today:
Batteries fit like a glove:
Made a mount for them:
Looks good:
Going to use a wheel bearing out of a car as a swivel. Had to tun down the wheel center:
Cut some steel:
First pieces in:
Put the vice...
