Gents,
A few of us are going to grab a beer and talk van stuff on Tuesday the 11th around 630/7pm at Highlands Hollow Brew House just off Bogus Basin Rd. Figured I throw this out there for any other van guys lurking in les bois. Nothing organized, just showing up and having a snack or beer...
I don't know if the front port goes to the front brakes or vice versa because there is no rule of thumb. Some MC's are Fr/Fr & Rr/Rr, some are the opposite. One rule of thumb does apply and that is that the port with the corresponding larger reservoir chamber (note the reservoir is split into...
Thanks for the tips! I hadn't thought of graphite, wonder if it will stay put. Yes, the pads at the ends wiggle out. I wonder if thicker shims will stay in place longer.
After 20k miles of highway and a decent dose of backroads/trails my leaf springs have ejected the little polymer (delrin?) shim disks that separate the leafs and it squeaks. I hate squeaks.

Dude
Thank you! That inspired me to get more organized.
Funny, I brought various tools (that worked for check in) to south america on a recent overland trip, including a handful of those mega- zip ties. They saved my ***** in the atacama when one of my bumper mount brackets disintegrated. You...
Thanks Gents!
Yes, the roof slides open. A "convertible coupe" of sorts. Also a viewing platform, etc.
Here is my build thread: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/112027-The-Ute-II-E350-RB-7-3-ZF6
And since this is a pics thread, here's a shot from the drive back south...
Apologies for the late reply, I'm mostly off grid in Patagonia at the moment.
Regarding duallies: they're great for towing and everything up to gravel roads. Beyond that tennis ball rocks love to wedge themselves in between and then of course the tracking issues. They can work though, just...
