I have had a camp fire every year I have attended MAR. From another forum:
"Yes, campfires will be allowed. Wood will be provided free of charge. A larger group bonfire will be going on as well. We are updating things pretty often, keep an eye on www.roav.org next week for more news on the event."
Get me the cubic meters of the truck and I'll get you a quote. I am not experienced in Canadian entries/customs but have handled 90+ US entries.
I'll get you shipping quotes East and West coast and leave entry up to you.
Yeah but now that Camel Trophy 110 is for sale again @ a very attractive price and I just got you a Defender 200 tdi drive train......
2nd ownership is a charm I hear.
LOL. Why anyone would want to ride with me in a 130 with 241k on the clock is a mystery but sure I'll take you for a spin. Falls into the "carefull what you wish for category".
The property is right next to Pearls Pond so same sort of terrian, soil etc. Heard a rumor that the Adamnson's may allow use of their property along the river to be included in the trails to be used. Hope that works out -loved the Pearls Pond trails like East river trail, the hill climbs etc.

Thats totaly misinformation. In fact the club site says fire wood will be provided free. They ask that fires be up off the ground in some sort of fire pit. This has been the same rule for @ least the past five years. The point being its not very nice to burn hundreds of holes in our host's...
My bad, was thinking Greensboro. You are down were East Carolina is. There are sponsors coming from Wilmington and Cary etc.coming. I'm sure if you post on the ROAV board you can find people traveling your way to caravan with. Usually lots of series rigs @ MAR.
Disco or defender engine ? The disco engine is much easier to add a/c to as it uses the same type mounts as the 300 tdi for which a kit is readily available from Bearmach or Elite.
The difference is that 200's use v belts and 300's are serpentine but thats easily overcome. Best of luck with your...
I do and have for 3 plus years.
Scott's used to driving high powered v8 slingshots:Wow1:. The Tdi's are great road engines and very reliable-amazingly so, and depending on gearing, capable of sustained 80+ mph speeds for those of us more sensitive to our carbon footprint than my friend from...
Snagger,
Do you mean specifically 110 double cabs ? Or are you including 130's ?
The 130 rear seat box has a huge storage locker underneath-basically the entire seat box platform is a storage locker. We measured the distance between a 110 seat box's and 130 seat box's and the difference was...
Mark can you pm or post a link to his water system write up ? Did you decide to come to MAR ? I'd like to see some of the neat modifications you have made like the onboard computer built into the cubby box etc.
I just put a 4.2 & Borg Warner in a 110 @ a customers request. The Range Rover mounts fit right up to the mount holes on a 110. Cant wait to test drive it.
Project looks great-you need to post more pictures !
Graham,
I had spoken to Keith about his right after he installed it and he was raving.
Your pictures bring some of what he was telling me to light. Nice write up. I can totally relate to how a loaded 300 stumbles off the line with a cloud of soot.
Whats the red canister behind the head on the...
Dale you probably spent more on just that rack than I have in my whole rig. Between that rack and the Melville and Moon seat covers you really had it kitted nicely. Got any more pictures ?
