I started working on the Hägglund again today. First i set it at ride height and put on one of the last few missing tubes:

Well, look out for rust. It`s just everywhere... Except from that you should have a look athe the transmission and clutch. They`re not the strongest thing out there... Fuel consumption is between 13 and 16l/100km...

There will be the hilift and a shovel mounted, and a mount for three cherry cans...
Then i`ll built a nice kitchen cabinet, skidplates for the engine and transfer case and a nice front bumper...:Wow1:

I came up with a good design for flat grousers and easy to make tire guides. I'll post a few pics tonight if i get a chance...
I`m not quite happy with my tracks. Maybe it`d work with solid rubber wheels, but it won`t be bulletproof like i want it to be. I want to built them right one time and never work on them again...
Hmm, i thought i could even benefit from that design. Low ground surface in dirt and big ground surface in soft ground and snow. It also adds a lot of traction, don't you think?

This might be true for the USA, but remember, i`m in germany. There are only a few places that laser cut in germany and it costs a fortune to get something made...

I can get conveyor belts for free, so i`ll use them. The snowcat guys use them too, so i think it`ll be fine, even with splicing. I just need to come up with a good and easy to fabricate...

Funny that i already typed a post about a new track design when i noticed your post. I decided to ditch those tracks today and come up with a better design. But, there`s no reason to change anything else than the drive...
Here`s the Update about the last 3 days. First i finished the second drive sprocket :
Then i made the track tensioners:
And put on the first track:

Then it was time for the first drive. So i put it in gear, sat in the drivers seat...
