Would be too easy. I can just lower the two front wheels. I can`t lower the rear one because then the tire guides will hit the spring mount. So if i lower just the two front ones it wouldn`t sit level...

I`m going to use it all year around. In the summer mostly at offroad events, but also for forest work. In the winter to groom the trail to our house and to get supplies there... The tires are pneumatic, i`m going to see how they hold up... Started with the rear suspension today. Wasn`t easy to...

Why don't you just believe the guys that worked with snowcats a lot? Here's a picture of a Thiokol 601 grouser: I could show you a lot more pictures if i'd search, but i spend my time more likely in the shop than bitching around here...

Snowcat grousers are square that's a fact, doesn't matter if you look at the old Thiokol/LMC or the new Pistenbullys... The finished drive sprocket will be exactly as wide as the tire guides, so it centers the track exactly like the tires do...

I worked at the Pistenbully factory for a while, so i know how it should look like. Would have just been easier if someone drawed it on the computer and i could've printed it out instead of drawing it on paper...

Yes, i`m going with the complete snowcat track style with an appropriate drive sprocket. There`s no way that`d work with the tube style sprockets, but i hought i could incorporate tem n the new ones, and it looks like it`s working great...

Thanks for your wishes guys... It should be ready for a test drive next week... So i made the drive sprocket prototype today. First i drawed it on some paper: Cut it out and transfered it on wood: Cut it out: Fit`s perfect: This is how i`m going to mount them. Two sprockets...

I won`t let him use the drill press. I don`t want to be responsible if his fingers get tangled in the drill bit. I did this myself one time, so i know how dangerous this thing is... Yes the tires will be off center, but the big Pistenbully snowcats have them off center too, so i don`t think...

Picked up the first batch of steel for the tracks: Had to lengthen that length cutting device : And started cutting: First 50 cut: The saw blade wasn`t excited to cut all that stuff alone, so i bought it some company: All 100 cut: This is how i`ll make them. Any thoughts...

Thanks. It`s crazy how much electrical and vacuum stuff is on that engine, even though it`s not even a mpfi, just a simple tbi. But i should be done with it now. The fun starts again when it`s time to wire the wipers, window washer pumps, heater, etc. because the wires for those things are at...
