As a former claims adjuster just let me say, anyone outside of the actual claims dept doesn't know squat about how to help you with a loss. You need to file an actual claim, have a qualified/trained RV adjuster look at the damages and go from there. The wood rot is going to be considered...
Weight, bolt pattern to match tow rig, electric brakes - all reasons to change the axle. I'm doing a M116A2, which is the flat bed version of this trailer, and haven't decided if I want to go to the trouble of swapping or not.
While I have MREs on hand like kmlacroix they're for convenience only. I enjoy Dutch Oven cooking. While DOs are heavy, take up a lot of space, and have to cool before you can pack them up, they part of the enjoyment of getting away from it all. You don't have to have a full blown kitchen to be...
I'd say try the warranty. I'm glad you posted this though as I was just looking at one of these on REI's site yesterday (got the 20% off flyer). This makes me lean to shelling out more and going with the Gordigear RTT or at least just buying the Smittybilt instead.
The 3116. I also have the added weight of a bed and the wind sail of a cargo cover so that might save you some but will be deducted once you get your box on.
The girl that got lost at the Grand Canyon could have benefitted from one. It's on my list simply so the next time I'm at Big Bend I don't have to drive around for a half hour looking for a cell signal to check in with the Mrs.
I appreciate everyone posting. We had to let our 13 year old Chow/Border Collie go yesterday. He put up a brave fight but too much cancer was more than he could handle. I'm 53 and been around a lot of dogs but he was my favorite.
If you were a bit closer I'd probably take you up on the axle but will likely go with a Flexiride Torsion axle since I'm going to have to pay shipping anyway. It's the same axle that Turtleback Trailers use and very reasonably priced.
Just watched your video on the Propex 2000 heater. Now that you've had it a while, how do you like it? Do you use it enough to feel the cost was justified?
Wow! Wish I had seen this back when these were a little more common on the auction sites. Planning on converting my M116A2 into a exp trailer and this would save me a tremendous amount of work.
We have a great school about 10 miles from my house, http://thehumanpath.net. My wife is taking the Herbal Medic classes and branched off in to some of the other areas as well. Many of the courses are on line but the Wilderness First Responder requires hands on training. The main instructor is...
I'm already planning on it. And if I don't screw anything else up I'll have my LMTV at Big Bend in Oct for our second annual SS get together. I'm trying to get Adventure Driven convinced he needs to come and maybe you could get agazza to try out his build and you could all convoy down. I'm sure...
Randy, sorry to hear about your wife. That kind of makes my kneecap sound pretty pathetic. We'll keep you both in our prayers. Hope you have a great time at Expo.
