Bill to Create Pilot Program for Mileage-Based User Fee

Is that supposed to be satire? I trust the government with any more of my private information and securing that about as much as I'd trust Bill Clinton alone at night in a sorority house.

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

Towing is generally less of an issue of "can it pull it" and more an issue of "can it stop it?" The PW is going to have much better braking capacity than a Colorado. Speaking as a former claims adjuster I've seen far fewer accidents because someone was too slow going up a hill and far more...

    WARNING* tough terrain trailer

So you were the "happy customer ready to go camping?" Sounds like false advertising to me.

Big Bend 2015 with Texas Overland

We did Big Bend NP last Oct and loved it. Only 4 days but that was enough to get us to head back for a week this year around the same time. Weather was perfect in Oct and the crowds were small and actually non-existent on the primitive roads. Since we didn't know the lay of the land we wound...

    LETS SEE YOUR TRAILERS!!!!

This is what I'm starting with. I have an aluminum hi/lo shelter I'm picking up next month and will start a build thread. The plan is to make the trailer the living area so it can be parked while the truck does trails.

Proposed 1k fine for vehicles over 20 years old in Oregon

For those asking "what's the purpose?" it's to separate you from your money. Just one more government money grab from California-North.

    Titan marketshare

My wife drives a 2010 Titan and we love it. I would get a XD Diesel if the price were a bit more reasonable but just can't justify $60k for a truck. Maybe in a few years when the used ones start hitting the market but for now I'm priced out of the game.

    Just picked up a 2004 Xterra XE 4x4 5spd.

We had an '01 and loved it. The only complaint I had was people getting in the back seat always seemed to drag their pants across the dogleg of the quarter panel getting dirt on my back seat. Since I didn't sit their I didn't really care other than having to clean it up :) The wife has a...

    On Road Amber Lights

Well not really concerning fog lights, since I am BIG and SLOW (my truck is too) I have amber whoopee lights on the front and back. The front (mounted on the cab) is hardwired into the system but the rear is battery operated and has a magnetic base. That way I can pull it off and switch it...

Trans America Trail - Oklahoma to Oregon

Well this is my truck. I'm building an Expedition Trailer out of the tan one. I have family in ID and WA and would like to make a trip up there to test everything once it's done. I know ID has plenty of Forest Service or BLM roads that would be fine but not familiar with the other states...

Trans America Trail - Oklahoma to Oregon

Looks like a fun trip. How would it be for a larger vehicle? Any real tight spots?

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

Here's a couple more pics. The lift cable is broken and I need to fix that and would like to rig it to a 12v winch to power it up and down. Also the door is off while moving it.

Just getting started on mine. I'm going to be adding the hi/low shelter to the trailer next month.

    M1078 LMTV expedition vehicle build

These trucks don't come with a EUC so you should be able to sell it to anyone. Exporting it might be a different story though.
