Springs are doing a lot more work. I can feel it in the camper when I walk around in it. There was very little movement with the stock springs. The good news is that is why i still have the rear camper jacks on the camper - I usually put those down when camped but now those will likely be...
Couple more photos
I tried to get a shot of the frame twist but didn't get a great one. There is no way I was going to crawl under there the way is was perched on the bank. Here is one that gives an idea of the amount of rotation.
This shot shows how the chassis rotates over its entire...
Flex photos with ATW suspension
Ok - My neighbors are pretty much convinced I am nuts for running truck up and down the bank of my side yard. I tried several spots to get the truck flexed to the point where the suspension was on the bumpstops on opposite corners and got close but couldn't get...
Fixed:
Actually, I had the same concern and cut some more away last night after I took the previous photo. I then went out and did some flex testing and decided to cut more off and the photo above is the final product. I'll post some flex photos shortly.

ATW Springs installed
The ATW springs, shackles, bumpstops and shocks are on the truck! The truck sits about 1.5" higher with the new suspension but the real difference is the amount of available suspension travel. Clearance is improved thanks to the combination of singles and suspension...
Gary -
You really need to isolate the camper from the chassis on a Fuso FG. If you hard mount to the chassis and don't let the chassis flex all the forces will be concentrated at the end of the subframe and there will likely be a failure at that point or you will find that the subframe isn't...
ATW springs are installed! They make a huge difference in the ride. Unfortunately I left town on a business trip the day after I got them on the truck so I have not had it off road yet but I can say that they have made a huge difference on the highway. I hope to flex it a bit this coming...
What air pressure were you running on the dunes? I have the same wheels and tires and very soon to have the same suspension that you have. I have never had my rig in sand and am curious how it would do. I have a SWB but that shouldn't make much difference.
Buckstopper
Jfet - The boxes on my truck are all ProTech. They are made in Vancouver, Washington and they will make whatever size you want. They delivered in Portland in about a week. They also keyed all of my boxes the same which is really handy. I have sure been happy with mine and have had no leaks in...
That is too funny. You gave me a flashback to my childhood. My dad drove a 1964 VW van and he used to have me crawl under the engine with a screwdriver and he would tell me to whack that silver thing when I heard it click. Worked every time.
Wish I still had that van.
Buckstopper
Oak is pretty tried and true. Most commercial truck bodies are mounted that way. It is also cheap and not that herd to replace. I haven't had any issues with mine mounted with oak.
Note that you do have to secure it. Mine is bolted with a few stainless steel flat head bolts to the...
John,
Thanks for that good news. That confirms what ATWUSA told me. I wish that ship safe travels and that the US Customs guys are in a good mood and get it through quickly.

It's me. I hope the article helps with the mystery around mounting a camper on these trucks. I have to say that the posts on this forum both inspired my build and made it work. Thanks to those who went before me for all the help.
Buckstopper.
I don't have the springs yet. They are somewhere between Oz and the US. I can hardly wait to get them here and get them mounted.
The singles are great. In fact I was really surprised how they improved the ride. I really think that the difference is the larger diameter rolls over bumps...
Nope. They have been returned to ATW. Awaiting shipment of the right springs for my truck from Australia. They were about 2" too long as I recall. Shock studs were wrong as well so pretty much nothing fit.
Barrabindi - I learned the hard way that 2005 FG and current model FG springs are not the same length...not even close. You have done what I should have done and pulled a tape first and confirmed that your springs should work before taking things apart.
