New Product from TeraFlex: JK Rzeppa High Angle Factory Replacement CV Kit

Wasn't one of the main reasons people were replacing their DS, wasn't because of the angle, but because the boot would get too close to the exhaust at drop and then the boot would melt and blow the DS? I mean I ended up buying a new DS... however never installed it as I've been waiting for my...

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

Dealer said no. They said the same when I picked this one up in 2012. As for the overheating issue, it looks like it's still there, as my temp gauge seems to move a little going up south access. Haven't pinned it or really pushed it, but I don't think this resolved anything. Next step for that...

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

Got my jeep back! Not sure what this cost Chrysler, but considering what my dealer charged them in shop time (hours), I bet it was around 6-8k (at min). The good news is I get 3 years or 100,000 km from now as a full warranty on the engine. My extended warranty I have runs out after ~50k or 2.5...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

    E-Locker switch location 2014 2DR JK

You mean in the same row of buttons as the traction control is? That's a royal ***** of a spot and I only know of a handful of people who've successfully put switches in there. A pillar is never a bad spot. That or just below the driver side heat vent.

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

And a new engine under warranty has been ordered. Likely 2-2.5 weeks away (I figured late Sept before I get the jeep back). But it's been ordered and it's official! What a great way to start the weekend!

    Build suggestions

Toss the recovery points on and then hit the road! Obviously there's a risk without a way to self recover yourself if you're out alone. I turned around tons of times when alone before I got my winch on my JK - even on mild crap I probably could have gotten through just because I didn't want to...

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

Honestly... I'd absolutely own one of those as a 2nd vehicle. Or if at any time I get tired of exploring and wheeling more challenging trails (which up here is mostly mud or places that require clearance), I wouldn't hesitate to get the Trailhawk. Due to the transmission, I never noticed the...

    Build suggestions

What you need/want will very much depend on how you plan on using it. Do you plan to really wheel it, or go out exploring alone on some sketchy roads? If so, a winch and probably a bumper should probably be very high on your list. However if you plan on sticking to forest service roads and more...

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

Nothing yet. Should hear something in the next day or two. But I'm not really worried about them denying it. The dealer has done all the maintenance and were the last ones to work on it. And they did give me a sweet Cherokee Trailhawk for a few days. Really liked that rig. It couldn't do a hard...

    2017 Wrangler almost unchanged

I mean it wasn't that cold this morning at 5c (36f?)... but it's a nice feature when the temps start to drop.

    2017 Wrangler almost unchanged

When will they ever add a heated steering wheel!? The Trailhawk I've been driving as a loaner has this and I absolutely love it!

KL Cherokee trailhawk owners, chime in?

I don't own one, but have been driving one as a loaner for the last little bit, and absolutely love it. It couldn't replace my JK simply due to where I take it... but damn if it wouldn't be a great little DD vehicle that's easily capable of pulling my m101 and doing some moderate trails and...

    Your Thoughts on Limb Risers?

I have them, however I rarely use them - and lots of our wheeling is in the bush. However that one time I didn't use them... I had a branch scrap the **** out of my hood on the drivers side - so now I see it all the time.

    2012 JKU Rubicon Build/Adventure Thread

Well it looks like I may be getting a new engine under warranty. Kinda upset about my weekend plans... but this will be a very good thing if it happens. So... Here's the deal lol. 2012, JKUR, auto, 4.10s, 35s For the last 2+ years I've been bitching to my dealer about my engine overheating. I...

    Pull-out Kitchen Thread

Question. How often is a small sink used when camping? I keep thinking of how/what I'm going to do when I make a pull out kitchen for my m101 and think a stove and counter space is almost certainly the best use of space. Perhaps a small drop on bracket or something on the end where a sink/wash...

    JK/JKU, auto vs manual

Couple thoughts. First off I know how to drive a stick and am very comfortable doing so. My last JK was a manual. And there's even times I miss driving stick. However... as a DD and my weekend toy, the auto is very nice. It makes life easy in traffic (not that we have much up here), and more...

    2018 WRANGLER

Yep. But I've spent so much on my JK that switching to another jeep and starting over (even with a diesel) would really really suck - especially as I'm almost finished paying it off.
