My 1935 220B next to my 1979 220K. The K's were the last of the 220's but finding pre 34 220's is really difficult. The 35 model fired up with just a cleaning.
Snow Peak has one that is like 20 x 13 and even has an inner tent. We use cots a lot and having enough room to set up a table and sleep inside would be nice. It packs easier than the canvas wall tents and has a lot of ventilation. Kind of like a screen room that zips closed.
I would second pretty much all of that. The one I have is canvas so I think it will shed water well but its probably even bulkier than yours. You also lose some room from the side of the vehicle extending out from where the awning is mounted. Your pic shows that perfectly and mine does the same...
I sat in one of these last week at a Sportsman's Warehouse and it was really comfortable. Like something at home comfortable. It does not pack down very small so its going to take up some room but I'm still considering a couple. Gear Guide Oversize
The Mountaineer is a really good stove. Its lightweight but is a bigger stove than most portables. Very powerful and can handle bigger cook wear. I found a carbon steel griddle that fits it and I love cooking on it. I modified mine to fit in a Snow Peak IGT. Its also super easy to clean with...
None of us know what they are paying for tents and so to do so is pure speculation. None of us know what kind of numbers they are moving. So trying to understand their business without a spreadsheet is impossible. You make think you know but really, you don't know. I have run a retail business...
As a rule in retail as the price goes up the margins come down. That starts to happen at the $1000 level. Once you get into $3000 and up pricing becomes more fluid and discounts start to happen. This of course is not a hard and fast rule as always prices are dictated by demand. The retail market...
I made an Alton Brown polenta recipe in a DO and it was a really good side dish. It never thickened with the coals but a about 15 minutes after I took it off the coals it was a perfect thickness and texture. AB Polenta
I made it from several parts and ended up using a compression fitting and have since found out your not supposed to use them with gas. I'm back to using the original hose and regulator. All the quick connect fitting are standard pipe thread and available on Amazon. The problem is converting from...
Locally the best national chain store with real camping gear is Sportsman Warehouse. Ours is pretty well stocked with actual things you can use. We have a local outdoor store that keeps a lot of high end camping gear. I frequent both and buy from them. ********'s is a joke but I did see the $40...
I have a 100 panel and the Redarc is dual input with a mppt charger as well. I never needed to hook up the panel so I'm not sure how well it could have brought back some of the charge or extended the battery's run with the fridge. I actually got the vehicle I now own because there was an off the...
I have a CFX 65 and recently did a new second battery setup with a group 35 X2 and a Redarc 25 amp DC to DC charger. Mine ran a full 24 hours but I started getting low power lights on my battery monitor but the fridge never changed. I do have my threshold set to low on the fridge. I had to drive...
