As an FYI, "stated value" means you agree with your insurer before hand on the value of what it is your are insuring. Then in the event of a total loss your policy pays out the "stated" value. Particularly useful when you have high-end, custom, or one off type items that are difficult to value.
Because this is the only forum here I read and because I trust the knowledge and opinions of many who post here. Also because the question is not truck specific. I would like a cab over. Find me one with 4 wheel drive and sufficient tow capacity. :)
Thanks for the replies.
Prefer the cab over for shorter wheelbase. However my boat and trailer exceeds 8600 labs. The ability to tow and launch is necessary. I'm unaware of a cab over available in 4x4 with that much tow capacity.
I'm considering a supercab F350, already own it or the new...
Hello all, I am looking for some opinions. Hopefully based upon real life experience and not guesses. ;)
I am looking at purchasing a truck to base a camper upon. Among the many choices and decisions is the decision of cab size vs camper size.
Obviously the shorter the cab the longer the...
I understand. Somehow I got the impression that this was the kickoff vehicle in your US marketing efforts thus my comments regarding this market.
My thought was along the lines of fitting into the space freed up by removal of the twin spares and their lifting mechanism. Again just be looking...
You asked for it. ;)
My opinions regarding the US market.
Spare tires and lift. A waste for the US market. Heck most of our SUV's never get off the pavement. I really can't envision the majority of purchasers needing built in dual spares. Looks cool, makes the rig look “mean”...
What is LHD and RHD?
Also what is the weight of the finished out camper? Just the camper, not vehicle etc.
Is any info available regarding pricing and availability in the US?
Very nice. I like the bright clean look. Also appears to be all molded smooth fiberglass. Easy to keep clean. I like it.
PS regarding my question about the rear overhand appearing very long. I just realized in looking at the new pictures that the up-swept overhang starts right at the rear...
I believe the Hummer ones are Michelin and Michelin has stated they feel they are a few years away from general public availability. Starting with ATV's seems to make good sense.
I especially like the comments regarding how quiet they are without the air chamber as a resonating "noise" enhancer.
Makes sense within mandated design constraints. Frustrating for design requirements to meet government rules as opposed to form and function. Oh well.
When you say 60% of wheel base is that just the rear overhang or must you total the front and rear overhang and not exceed your 60%? With a...
