I like those rear tail lights a fair bit better than the current generation. The grill reminds me of the Ranger, but I'm sure they had that in mind.
I am excited to see that suspension!
@Marine not having to deal with an intercooler is the answer if the winch is MUST. You ABSOLUTELY can mount a winch into the EB trucks, but you have to move the intercooler, so on top of a mount, you need a winch and then the relocation kit.
Are you talking like a generic contractors rack...
Ended up installing the final bit of my rack
The regular gear pod will end up being my liquid container. I threw some extra fluids in there, some common sprays I may need and a few things like thread locker I always like to keep handy.
And threw on some extra protection.
Pictured are the...
There are SOME tuners that can change SOME profiles but you cannot make a wholesale change of the tune on the fly.
Pedal Commander is NOT a tune but its the closest thing I can think of to what some of the tuners can do. Basically change a few things on the how the truck reacts, but not for...
This got me looking into this because drilling a hole into an intercooler sounds like something you tell your newbie friend as a joke akin "HEY DONT FORGET YOUR RELATIVE BEARING GREASE!" or "blinker fluid" but damn it looks like some of these guys are doing it to mixed results. Apparently it...
I swear I'm not a shill from Leitner Designs, they're are plenty of other racks that work great, I'm just telling you what I know.
The new "forged" Leitner rack has the following capacities straight from their site:
Off-Road Dynamic Weight Capacity | 400
On-Road Dynamic Weight Capacity | 800...
@KWJohnston
Sorry got home late last night and just barely got a bit of sunlight today.
I'm a big fan of the Leitner ACS. Its pretty modular, everything you see on it can be moved around to fit or work however you need it. I am working on making a mount for the bed side of it because with the...
I cant give you a good answer because the torsen diff will come in handy while offroading when all those nannies are off. The nannies themselves work well enough, though I drive in TC Sport mode and usually have it all the way off on the sand. The torsen has come in handy the few times I've had...
Perhaps I'm remembering rumors that were swirling before the actual release. I may very well be remembering those rumor pages. You know the ones that have been posting those renders of the Bronco since 2018?
I'd go with the torsen if you're looking to have it be more of a passive thing, if you want to select when and where it gets locked up then I'd go with the locker.
Edit/Addition: after thinking about it I've had a different setup in each vehicle and all of them had their benefits.
Disco...
The 36 gallon tank SHOULD be on most Screws. I believe it was an option but one that was checked on all dealership ordered trucks. I only recently found a Screw with a 26 gallon tank.
The FX4 and Raptor have plastic fuel tank skids from the factory. You can find the straps from a few different...
I have used 5 star and I really liked it.
Banks is really good a the "sell" ... Just go check out their youtube channel. Never would I ever thought I would spend hours watching some old guy talk about differential covers. I don't think their products are markedly better than a similar product...
Didn't they throw torsen diffs in more trims after 2015? I remember they made a huge deal about it back in 2012ish when it rolled out into the Raptors, but now I think its in a bunch of F150s.
I completely agree on the 5.0 vs 5.4. I wouldn't say the 5.4 is inherently bad, but if you have any sort of anxiety about reliability I'd shy away from the 5.4.
The 3.5 can be toyed with to make way more power on the cheap compared to the 6.2, the 6.2 you're automatically looking at 8 or 9k to...
I looked into it a bit more and it looks like the non Raptor or FX4 F150s don't have a skid plate on the gas tank either, and that may be something you want to look into. I have the factory plastic gas skid plate and its been good enough so far. Eventually I may get an aluminum or steel skid for...
