New tires on. I've had them on for a few days now. At first I wasn't sure about them, but they aren't bad at all. I think they will be fantastic once I get the new gears in.
I was also speaking in general. Why would anyone want to run out an purchase this battery[right now] with the knowledge that if it goes kaput it may be replaced by something that is not originally what we wanted. I mean half the reason we get it is for the ease of replacement and the other half...
They still have them here, if it was really an issue you could probably island jump. Though Ala Moana is gone.
addition: Why would you want to buy from Sears if you know that what they would replace your current battery under warranty would be a lesser battery?
Thats exactly what Steve said to me. I put about 100 miles on the first day and then maybe another 40 the second before I changed the oil. Its definitely gotten smoother since the first day, but still throws the pending misfire from time to time (I think I've gotten the CEL once). I've been...
Its shaky upon first start up and with occasionally put a pending misfire code on the UltraGauge. It smooths out as soon as any amount of power is applied.
...I'd have more miles if I didn't life on a freaking island... somewhere that had more places to go.
I really like mine so far. I've put less than 250 miles on it so far. It is definitely more torquey. I like it a lot so far. Though, the idle was a little concerning at first, but Steve assured me that was okay as long as it wasn't throwing codes.
I knew of one company that made a full sized roof rack over the bed and onto the back section of the cab... I remember looking into it back in 2008 or 2009, but the money just wasn't there for me, though I'm sure you could fab one up pretty easy. I had a small spacer lift that was originally for...
Dude don't sell the Sport Trac, I had one when I was living in Connecticut and they are totally legit!
I like my Disco, but I could have bought 3 Sport Tracs for the amount that I've put into it!
I'm gonna agree but add something to your statement. I had BFG AT KOs on a vehicle while I was in CT and it was merely OK in the snow. It wasn't a liability, I did not feel unsafe with them on my vehicle, however after driving in the snow with other better tires (Duratracs come to mind) I...
Those pictures are very old. That is actually from when my dad work at Ford and those concepts had a lot of backing by a lot of high people, but had one very important person who didn't back it, and therefore it didn't make it into production. Mind you, this is probably [at least] second or...
Its very much true, I've done it myself and I believe this was the kit that I used to do it: http://www.roversnorth.com/ProductDesc.aspx?code=PLK9141&type=3
Make sure you tighten the bolt down underneath it or else your wipers will shudder across your windshield next time you need them. I do...
Looks like we go around the same area...
Ka'ena Point is still open, but they extended the nature reserve a bit since I have been here. You can no long making it around back to Farrington Hwy on the west side. They did shut it down again for a while for a clean up because of people were...
I've camped out on Bellows beach (military ID req). I've also camped out near Ka'ena State Park, but nothing that any of the forum users would call "overlanding". I mean I've gone out to Kahuku and went dirt biking and decided to camp there instead of do the drive back, or go out to Hale'iwa the...
I had a 89 RRC SWB and bought it for 3900 and sold it for 3700, then purchased it again 2 years later for 2300, cleaned it up [for about 500 dollars] and sold it for 4600. Its all about timing, the market, and who sees your advertisement.
Well hopefully after I'm done building up the ole Merc engine I hope to do the same. If I can't get what I want out of it, I see an twincharger in my future!
Again, your Disco looks amazing. Excellent job.
