sequoia chassis is very different from the tundra to accommodate the IRS. Engine, trans, tcase, axles... they're all the same. Sure, the LC has different rear suspension, but there are a large number of shared components.
Great comparison...
landcruiser is just a sequoia under the skin. hard to argue that it's anything different anymore. It's name recognition.
I would argue all day long that Toyota USA is designed for longevity and durability… *cough* frames *cough* :p
Having owned a '15 Tundra (and 08, 11 crewmax's as well)… and a 16 F350...
Entune is horrible. No other way to say it. It's HORRIBLE.
Toyota nixed the transmission temp guage in '14.
Toyota nixed reclining rear seats in... ~12?... I think. Ford doesn't have it either, but at least ford has...
i'm a huge proponent of low gears... for this, just take it out of OD and you'll essentially take your final drive ratio to ~5.29... when you decide to regear, do 4.88 or 5.29 and enjoy.
Hi jack....
Is this a thing? Does it work??? Seems in your budget @Clutch , so it has my interest.

Availability of parts, aftermarket support and packaging are the biggest things, IMHO. Take a look at a LS next to a 2UZ... MASSIVE difference in size.
I would probably not done anything different... well, maybe a rear Dana 60.
as much as I like the 4wu 3-link in my xcab, I’m not sure that I’d want it ina DD
Speaking of Jeep quality... this makes me want to sell my Toyotas...

Owning a ford and a bunch of Toyota’s... the fit and finish on the Ford is better... and ford hasn’t had to recall frames yet.. but I’d also argue that no mfg builds their vehicle to average 500k miles... they don’t need to.
