That's not a gap. Thats not a gap, that's additional storage space. Which you will find is a precious commodity.

Converting a Enclosed Trailer to an Expedition Trailer?

I am doing it right now. I have a 5X10 V-nose. I have put a 3500 Lb. axle on it with the leaf springs from my Tacoma. It has a full kitchen in the rear. The interior has the fold and tumble bed from my FWC. It will have a heater, water heater, stove, my ARB fridg and alot more. I love to tinker...

4runner to Tacoma rear axle swap

Even though I could probably make them fit, the fact that you loose the ABS and parking brake is exactly what I am trying to avoid. Also they use a custom rotor. I really want the truck to seem like it came with four wheel disk brakes from the factory. Thank you though for the idea. Jeff

That part is kids stuff to me.:Wow1: Actually, the four link brackets will come off and spring perches will weld on. Jeff

4runner to Tacoma rear axle swap

My rig is a little on the heavy side. 2010 Tacoma DC/LB and I carry a Four Wheel Camper. I also have a 2003 4runner. The difference in brakes between the 2010 Tacoma and the 4runner is amazing. I have changed the front rotors, pads and brake lines on the Tacoma, it helped but I need more. I have...

    MOAB Fort

Saw it this weekend! I saw this trailer at the Off Road show this weekend at the LA County Fair Grounds. Very, very nice. Completely loaded for $8900.00. I like that it had a propane stove and a propane grill. Not a huge amount of storage, but I think for a 3-7 day trailer, it is perfect...

    Fridge Power Draw

What will also make a difference is what charge controller you use. If you spend a little more money for a MPPT controller, it will convert the additional voltage into charge amps. Jeff

    Brute w/ FWC on ebay

Do your homework first. We are in California. Leagally it can't be done. But it might depend on the referee you take the Jeep to after the swap. Some say the engine had to come in the same model vehicle, others say it has to be the same brand. Read...

    Brute w/ FWC on ebay

A little steep Had it been a Rubicon conversion, I could see something close to that price. Being a FWC owner, the fiberglass siding would be my choice. Branches in tight spots are taking its toll on my siding. Now then, had it been the Hemi conversion, it would be in my driveway now and the...

FourWheelCamper Tie down Brackets Pulling apart after Less than 1 year use!

My .02 My experience is with my FWC which is the Eagle pop up camper, not a hard side like yours. What I have found is that the connection point for the lift jacks is at a very thin structural area. I only use my jacks to pick up the camper off of my truck and drop it on my dolly. Also, if you...

    Hub centric axle question

Where? No, I don't need the 5200# load capacity. 10" brakes would work. Any ideas where I could find this combo? Thanks. Jeff

    Hub centric axle question

Really? That's ok dude. I didn't ask for your sympathy. I am not new to this. I have been 4 wheeling for over 40 years now and this will be my third trailer. My post was to enquire to intelligent people that have had experience with hub centric wheels. I am not looking for opinions of how to...

    Hub centric axle question

I am building a cargo conversion trailer to take off road. I am in the process of changing out the axle and springs. I am using the factory leaf springs from the rear of my Tacoma and a 5200 Lb. axle to match the trucks bolt pattern and add brakes at the same time. I want to use the same wheels...

2011 Teotwaki's "Invitational" Bodie Ghost Town Expedition

I'll try to get through some more edits but in the mean time I am sure more people will post up. After seeing Josh's photos, I am embarrassed to post mine. I am definitely going to be asking a lot of questions next time! Sure would have been fun to camp next to the lake! Jeff
