TundraBirds Go! Picture Thread for Tundras and T-100s

Thank you. Set up this way we averaged just a tick under 17 MPG. Near enough to 6.5'.

Expeditions 7: Two Years Around the World on all Seven Continents.

What route through PA did you guys take? I'd swear that was Route 6 through the northern tier.

    Haggis' Multi-Use Tundra Build

Thanks, I kinda like it too. :ylsmoke: Yeah, 4WP told me the same...:coffee:...Summit Racing was more than happy to sell me some rims. 16s fit fine over the calipers; the backspacing of the wheels is 4". I would not recommend the Eagle Alloys that I have by the way. The powdercoat on them...

Jeep fest 2012 Butler Pennsylvania. "Home of the Bantam Jeep"

Same for us. The Jeep parade was pure awesomeness. There will be a few of us from the Portal getting together to head on down to this year's event.

    Cinco de Inyos_ _ May 4-5-6, 2012

That looks like a fun trip with a fun group...I wish our merry band of explorers had some bluegrass pickers.

    Haggis' Multi-Use Tundra Build

Thank you very much, they've been the best years of my life. Lol...no..no golf clubs for me...that's our easy-up canopy. The porches for the Maggie are just the right size to throw it up on and that makes more room under the cover.

    Haggis' Multi-Use Tundra Build

Here's some shots of Fafhrd on our latest trip. We went south and then east to run the mountains and cruise the beach.

South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

After the Gorge we found ourselves back on the Blue Ridge Parkway where we turned north and ran the ridges. Did some more hiking to stretch the travel kinks out… That evening we were planning on utilizing one of the gov'ment campgrounds but just three mile out we found the...

South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

The next morning we pointed the truck north and east while we made our way up through the Pisgah. More forest roads and short hikes made up our morning. Eventually we found our way to the Linville Gorge and Falls Area. Always ones to chase a waterfall we hiked on back to check it out…

South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

Back on the road we soon got tired of driving and on a whim decide to do a little exploring in the Pisgah National Forest. We travelled some forest roads, hiked some trails and tried not to get run over by the locals. I submit you can always tell a local boy by how fast they drive the gravel...

South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

Back on the mainland, we retraced our steps as we were heading towards Asheville, NC. We were heading over to visit our good friends Jay (mtnbike28 here on the Portal) and his wife Debbie. We’ve been on many adventures together but haven’t got to see them since they moved south. So after...

South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

The sunset on the second night was spectacular as it bathed the shore in purple and pink light… West towards shore a storm cell rotated over the mainland but the steady winds of the ocean kept the rain over the other side of the Sound and our campsite dry. Warm and comfy in the tent...

South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

Strolling the beach, wading the surf and an occasional nap were the ways we passed the time. Here are some random shots of our days on the Cape… Michelle likes her new accommodations… The Maggiolina RTT was a new addition for us and bought specifically for this trip. We weren’t...

South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

Once off the ferry we made our way through the fishing cabins and unto the beach. The wind was gusting and the skies were overcast but we were on a beach. The dunes sure have changed since we were last here but we found a spot about a half mile above our last campsite. We set up camp, just an...

South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

Late in the afternoon we arrived in Davis and with a little exploring found a campsite at Cedar Creek Marina and Campground and even though they weren't really open for the season the folks there let us stay out on the quay next to the boat launch. We found ourselves surrounded by water on...

South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

We got up early the next morning, put the Maggie down as the dawn came, threw down some breakfast and hit the road south again. And three miles down the road we found an official campground that wasn't on the damn map…oh well, no harm no foul and we know it's there now. But as the sun...

South to the Mountians...East to the Sea: Mr and Mrs Haggis tour the Mid-South

Michelle likes to hike but more so when there's a destination at the end of the trail, especially if there's a waterfall at the end of the path… As we progressed southwardly down the Drive the temps got warmer and the foliage got greener. Stopping at one campground to check on sites...
