We had an Onxy XT for 2 years when it was stolen. We are replacing it with a 2023 Tacoma
The Onxy was great until we needed it to carry something. Doing anything with 3-4 people we'd either have to carry gear or bikes but not both. I have a full set of under body armor for the Onxy that I...
Checked the thermal drift of XPS, PU and EPS in 2-5 years.
Wouldn't be my choice to cut into the floor for the hydronic lines. There's pile of retrofit hydronic system to lay on the floor.
Spray foam is good but if it gets near moisture it absorbs (max. 95% close cell) water. The industry...
Strange Aux and OEM are on the same terminal but only Aux is charged?
Strange there is 2 OEM + and they are on different terminals?
If that's the type of isolator I think it is then yes they (diodes) go bad. They went out of style becuses the voltage drops though them. VSR (voltage sensing...
I'm thinking of the resale of a unit designed around a mill and suggest thinking of it as MTD bike(s) or motor cycle and look how those are carried inside or outside the box across the back.
You'll be able to swing the truck around in the air with those:)
Welded (root and cap - by adding more bevel the weld could flush to the sides and ground to make the weld disappear) recovery points. Side pull on bolts is never good. X brace the top of the 1/2" plates with flat bar and you'd...
Will there be diagonal gussets/braces keep the side wings from bending?
To hooks/D-rings/extra holes (long flatbar) for tie offs/shackles/pullies?
Galvanizing?
Last I talked to my buddy that builds trailers there's only 1 option for axle componets. Everthing is made offshore by Dexter now. They can reduce quality and add 20% to the price because the only option is buying from another division of Dexter.
I agree with Metcalf. Even if things don't get cut then sliding over the edge will damage the gear.
Better to use a receiver shackle. If that's not available option are:
- a piece of 3/4"- 1" pipe cut to fit inside the receiver and fit over the hitch pin. I've done this using steel cable. It's...
Sorry I wasn't clear. I don't use SS for recovery because it fatigues. The SS is probably stronger than the steel ones I use but my worry is instead of bending they will break.
Each item isn't much but when you add an awning/cooler/bunks/ bike rack there's nothing left. Wait to see what happens when it is goes down a FSR with no travel left in the suspension.
Try double clamping. Put the screw 180 degrees from each other. Be careful not to over tighten and wrinkle the hose under the screw.
Try different fittings. Each mfg. has a different idea of what 3/8" is.
Instead of Nylon try a Poly fitting
Use a little pipe ( safe for drinking water) dope but...
Before you pull out the wrenches you'll need a OBD Adapter, laptop and a good understanding of FORSCAN

My experince is very few tanks are installed to drain 100% so it doesn't matter if the tank is full or empty. The tank and system needs to be sanitized and rinsed like Joe917 does.
After months of no use most people fill the tank with chlorinated water thinking it is safe when it is the worst...
