Need help: Which trailer works best for us?

At only 800lb CC after water it wouldn't surprise me. If they are the same as other mfg. then adding the factory bunkbeds and RTT lowers the CC even more. Once everything is added up it would surprise me if theses are going down the road 500-600lbs over the GVWR.

Need help: Which trailer works best for us?

Like the new trailer I looked at yesterday with 300Ah of unheated drop in Lithium sitting on the front. Below freezing the battery cold protection will lock out charging. Once the batteries are drained everthing shuts down and the whole trailer freezes. If they did warm the batteries the next...

    RuggedFlex Panels?

When does the FRP get so hot the glue releases? I have Panasonic (that make power when there is full cloud/no sun) 330w on my roof with 3" clearance that are 4m (12'6") off the ground. In winter I get 30% more output by tilting the panels. The panels have been hit by /pull down 100s of...

    Flatbed materials (steel vs. aluminum)

I'd have to see better pictures or one in real life but from what I can see Duramag looks to be doing a decent job. There's a few tricks like making the easy to see stuff look pretty (TIG) but lots of builders do that. The 5 year structual warranty looks pretty good. Ask how many they've...

    Flatbed materials (steel vs. aluminum)

I work with both alum and steel. Aluminum cuts, welds and fabricates 3X faster than steel. By the time you make steel rust (galvanizing) proof it is close to the cost of alum. Rule of thumb if you're comparing decks. Alum is 1/2 the strength and 1/3 the weight. Stay away from alum decks that are...

You're beliving this stuff? How about another senario.....one night at those temps and you're locked inside due to condensation freezing the door and windows shut. You can't get out because the coroplast on the basement with no insulation means the tank heater drained the battery so the hair...

I think NH is missing out on the Overland market. When I spoke with them they were "comfortable" with Morryde IS. It's better than leafs but not as good as air. With full air I get 20" of ground clearance. We're also looking at smaller as well. Trailer is great to base camp for weeks and...

    Any experience with Ember trailers?

They idea is great but to be done propeerly it shouldn't be on a RV production line. Building it in the RV capital of NA should say enough.

Need help: Which trailer works best for us?

I had to get a (parking) permit for a hike. The Ranger issuing the permit said last year all the permits were taken 7 days a week from July - Sept. This year the numbers have almost dropped to pre-Covid levels. Next year they may cancel permits or just use them for long week ends. Yesterday I...

    Water Heater at High Elevations

At 7000' if the flame is yellow carbon will (has) plug up the spud (orfice). Reducing the gas pressure from 11" to 8" water column might get it burning with a blue flame. I have 2.6kw of solar and a double induction cooktop. When it's +80F I'm in the shade with no solar using a Camp Chef stove.

Blow enough smoke and you have a smoke screen. They'll walk away with a couple million if they can sell enough to people that don't know the differce between a wheel nut and a flare nut.
