What 32-33" Tires are you running on your JKU?

Cooper ST's 265 75 16, very good all-round tire. I've had Coopers on the Jeep since day one, previous set were ATP's in 265 75 16 can't recommend them enough.

    Lumpskie's 1989 Grand Wagoneer Build

Great stuff, beautiful Jeep. I love a build thread with tons of pics, someday I will get a "Waggy", always loved the deep blue color with the wood insets.

    tire shopping!

Just got the ST's for a great deal - so far they have been great in all the snow we are having in the Northeast. 265 75 16 on 16 x 8 Mambas - very beefy tread & C load so not to heavy. Compared to the 265 75 16 Cooper ATP's I was running, the ST's are slightly skinnier & a bit taller. A nice...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

A crap ton of snow in the Northeast called for some new tires. Cooper ST 265 75 16 C Load - in a word " meaty ".

choosing a basic Jeep in 2015

I bought my 2011 2 Door used for a good chunk off 3 years ago, power nothing, roll up windows - love it, its gone everywhere and done everything I've asked it to. The right tires and a small lift go a long way in getting you down the trail. I'm a fan of spending as little as possible on mods and...

    best suspension for washboard roads

OME shocks & coils - I've had mine for a while now and they do great on the rutted stuff, on road they are stiff but easily livable for a DD.

Has your JK ever left you stranded?

2011 - 52,000 miles and counting, daily driver - with 7 or 8 off roading trips a year, not a single issue. I have kept her as close to stock as possible with the exception of tires, suspension & trans cooler. Great vehicle, has never left me stranded.

Old Square Eyes Gets a Makeover

I've wondered how this could be done on my JK too, I guess there is no other way but to cut the top, unfortunately here in the Northeast we get a lot more rain than Arizona. The roll bar is just a great solid location to mount a rack.

Old Square Eyes Gets a Makeover

Great build, looking forward to seeing how you attach the roof rack with the soft top. Good job not trading in a perfectly good jeep for something new.

What Do You Dislike About Your JK

There's not much I dislike - 50K plus miles and zero issues, she's gone everywhere I've pointed her. If I had to change a few things it would be the addition of lockable hubs & better front end components from the factory ( tie rods, ball joints, steering rack and such ). Yeah the carpets are...

    Time for New Tires

I have 45K on my ATP's which are very similar to the AT3 with a decent amount of tread left. They have handled everything I have thrown at them, snow, mud, rocks, sand. I've run them at Rausch Creek numerous times with zero issues as-well as in Vermont & down on the beaches of the Outer Banks...

    Any Jeep Patriot owners?

Its a Rola Roof Basket with PIAA 520's attached using an old light bar bracket I found on eBay. Sorry I don't have any better pics handy. I ran the wires down to the back of the roof and in through the tailgate.

    Any Jeep Patriot owners?

Here's my old Patriot on the beach at Corrola NC, it was a great mild overloading platform - spent quite a few nights sleeping in the back. Only thing I really did was to replace the stock tires with Yokohama Geolanders.

Brilliant - thats how you do it, just a sleeping platform in the back and 4 wheel drive - what more do you need.
