    U.P. Overland 2009

As long as you've got a couple cans of ignition drying spray...that Eagle will go anywhere! I know we're going to try to get back up to the Keweenaw in the spring, so there might be a chance for an informal (or formal?) journey at that time. We want to check out some of the history of the...

    98' TJ or 95' YJ?

What are you planning on doing with them? Having owned both (1989 YJ, 2002 TJ) I happen to like the YJs (especially with a CJ front clip and dash!) and find that the leaf springs are actually pretty nice - fewer points to wear out, easier to beef-up your load handling ability if so desired...

    U.P. Overland 2009

Interesting. My Jeep was filthy underhood, absolutely filthy. I hosed it down, but that muddy stuff doesn't rinse off, so I'll have to hose-and-scrub at some point... Incidentally, it looks like I got a fair bit of water into my OEM air filter housing. I can't figure exactly when that would...

    Russia with Rover

How did I miss this post the first time around? Who knows. Awesome trip. Keep on posting pics! I have a list of places that I would travel to if/when I became wealthy enough to do so. This is one of those trips. I would love to see the time-stands-still state of affairs in rural Russia.

    Bedframe Fab presents TJ Storage

UPDATE! 1. The Storage System - worked like a charm for UPOverland 2009. Kept everything in place, and made it SO much easier to set up and break down camp in the pouring rain because there was no need to remove everything to get to the bottom layer.. ActionPackers on the bottom accessed...

Do any of your local military surplus stores have them in stock? We've got the aluminum ones available around here for a decent price.

Looks great! I'd have gone white letter out for the period look, but it is a slick setup all the same!

    My Drummond Island adventure

+1. You can call me The Tarp Man. Anyway, we'll have to try DI again sometime in the future. I'm sure part of the frustration was the single vehicle thing...remember how much fun that was the last time we tried it? Something about ice that didn't support the truck, if my memory serves...

    U.P. Overland 2009

I keep singing the praises of the UP in every post I make on the subject, but I think my praises are justified because the impressions that give rise to them are reinforced each and every time I cross the bridge in the northbound lanes. There is just so much nifty stuff to see and explore up...

    Bedframe Fab presents TJ Storage

And a good .02 it was! Right on the money. The shocks are newer, and damping is not a problem. The factory spring rate is. Especially with the front sway bar connected, because it straight up doesn't let the front suspension flex, all of the articulation all gets transferred to the back end...

    Bedframe Fab presents TJ Storage

They're from Air Lift (http://www.airliftcompany.com/). We'll see how they handle off-pavement use this coming week. Around town and with the trailer on, the improvement is profound and appreciated. More details to follow...

Or perhaps sew screens in IN ADDITION TO the clear parts? That would be tight as hell.
