I don't know about the Monty, but on the 80 series Land Cruisers, everyone I read about that does it regrets it - loud and hot.

    2000 110 in the states - unobtanium?

I know the local off road training company has a legal brand new Hilux with diesel motor. But they got "permission" because they train military folks on driving. I have no other facts, it has a state plate and that was the answer I got when I asked....

1975 VW Bus Westfalia, built for an Alaska to Argentina Journey

That was great work saving that bus! Looks wonderful and since you did all teh work, WHEN it breaks down, you can fix it. If you bought someone's project, you would always be guessing what they did. Have a great trip!

why is a habitat so much more than a regular flip pac

I was just guessing.... I agree with Tacollie, I love my FP, wish the screens were better quality and didn't split and didn't fear the torsion bar.

why is a habitat so much more than a regular flip pac

Thanks for sharing Scoutsider.... my friend looked after the increase I guess. Again, I would bet the Nemo tent on the Habitat is a bunch more, plus AT's profit, etc. I am not saying $10k is cheap, but you can get that top with a JK for what a 20 year old Syncro sells for ; )

Feeler: Slo-Sails Flippac rainfly, green, 2 windows.

Just throwing this out of you are on the fence. I just camped with my new-to-me SLO fly. It was in the 40s and for the first time I had no condensation inside with 3 of us and a dog. Ventilation a huge improvement, seeing out windows a major plus, and I don't mind the green after the FRP blue...
