    Salsa warranty issues

"Bike and moto warranties are always a PIA. " - x2 My first warranty claim. Brand new Trek 930, first ride with the LBS manager, the rear derailleur implodes... JRA - that was covered by the shop ; ) But I know every LBS mechanic has heard the JRA story, knowing the guy was launching the...

    Salsa warranty issues

I disagree Christopher. Guy seems to have a legit complaint. He said he was OK paying labor (I was confused by the Salsa $65 warranty fee?) My claim on my Dos Niner (broke where they all did) was denied.... then offered a replacement frame (even the LBS said it was a bad deal) but it required a...

    Overland-ish Tacoma Flippac Build

Question: "a negligible amount of water got into the camper after treating the fly with a spray- on sealer. The Outdoor Store in Fort Bragg was out of the seam sealer, which probably would have completely kept the water out." What spray on sealer did you use? I just got a SLO fly, and covered...

    best bedliner for Flip Pac?

I also have a raised platform. I covered it with indoor/outdoor carpet from Lowes. If I did it over, I think I would glue down a cheap blue sleeping mat from Walmart and then glue the carpet on top of that. Not a great picture or it, but you get the idea.

    FlipPac mattress and "gap cover"

Like wise, my front never sticks out, I think that will be worth the time/effort. Mattress - I can measure mine (if it stops raining) - I would suggest spending the money on a good foam (a comfortable night sleep is worth it) I don't know what what it is (closed foam?) but some research will...

Considering a Double Cab Tacoma - Should I be worried about the frame?

I had the frame replaced on my 2002 DC, and the dealership (Midstate Toyota in NC) did a great job. I have no rattles, or other problems. they also replaced brake lines, springs, and some suspension stuff. I added the valve cover gaskets and small hoses on the back of the motor since it was out...

Weekend trip to Anastasia SP Saint Augustine

6:45 AM - a garbage truck empties a dumpster, banging it several times to get it empty... less than 100 yeards from my spot. OK, you see the problem with the KOA. It is an urban setting, this is great if you are in an RV and want to get somewhere fast, but it is surrounded by those 8 foot wooden...

Weekend trip to Anastasia SP Saint Augustine

My oldest daughter took the week my younger daughter has off for spring break and flew down to North Carolina for a vacation. She wanted to do a beach vacation and last year we tried the NC coast, it was too cold for swimming, so this year we headed south. We looked at several spots and finally...

Thanks for posting those Scott. I like the DOF look it produces, unlike so many smaller sensor cameras.
