    need new shocks

Weeeeel, I broke a shock mount on my old MB. It made absolutely no difference in how it rode. My 3B rides better than my neighbors CJ7. (Tire pressure). I did sneak over while they were gone and dropped each of his tires around 5 PSI. "Hey, this thing rides much better". I never told him. His...

    My Journey

Nice report even if it is a bit short. I lost my Black Lab around 35 years ago and I can get a bit misty around the 'ol eye balls when I read about dogs. My cure is to walk across the street and scratch the 4 mutts over there. I walk along the street and get warning woofs and as I walk up the...

No front drive in 4x4. Fg639:(

It's OK. Among the many things I have done in my life I have been a mechanic and have seen many poorly thought out designs come from the factory.

No front drive in 4x4. Fg639:(

Just wondering why they decided to go to a vacuum system. It is just asking for failure.

No front drive in 4x4. Fg639:(

From your description it sounds like you have 2 problems. If your hubs are locked in and I assume you are driving the front drive shaft should be turning, bad hub? If a 1996 is like my 1994 there are 2 cables that run from the transfer case shifter down. Are the cables intact and adjusted...

Coolant Overflow Tank With Lots of Sediment in it

The pressure should build as the engine warms up. I have to wonder if a PO filled the overflow tank from a salts laden creek and that is where the deposits came from. I have had to replenish the radiator in my Volvo from a nasty cow tank out in the fields. Lots of flushing it out after that. I...

Rover run: Three weeks, 4,000 miles with my 5-year-old

Nice write up. I was born in 1955 and remember all of the trips we did in our 1955 Pontiac as well as the 1953 Buick and all of the old Suburbans. She will remember this trip her entire life.

    Bed in a CJ?

I was going to suggest the same thing. The only monsters I ever had come near me were the 2 Labs that got kicked out of the cabin around 06:00 and they decided that they needed to lick my hands as I tried to get in a bit more sleep. I have seen a guy sleep in the back of my MB on the way back...

Fuso FG will not shut off

Weeeel. back when I worked at the tire shop. Some diesels would just not shut down. You had to stand on the brakes and let the clutch out to kill them. It sounds like your fuel shut off is not working correctly.

    Low Vaccum Light Trouble

Yep, I was going to mention the belt. I know mine makes strange noises when it gets loose.

    My Journey

Years ago We were we able to have our pets one day at a time in the dorm room. I would walk Samantha down the hallway there so she could do her business outside. Crazy numbers of women had to run out to give her a hug and a kiss. I never got any of that.

The Pin Project: 1.794 days non-stop around the world and still rolling.. (OR How to afford emotionally & financialy a RTW trip on a camper van)

Actually my comment was about your rant. I can walk across the street and get all of f the crap I don't deserve, I expect it. I have dealt with it for over 60 years. I don't dislike you. I wander over to scratch the dogs.

The shouting bit was when you went to all caps in a larger bold type. I do respect you right to an opinion,

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

I can't bring myself to turn My 1953 Buick into something my grandfather would not have approved of (His old car). Crap, the stock seat covers are still in the thing and the radio still works. Just not going to mess with it. I did think about dropping the Caddy 472 in my 1951 Chevy, huh, still...

Isuzu FTS 800 for sale $149,900 aud

Crap, I hope you fellers make enough money. Several years ago I priced out a new MF long chassis. $27.000. A few miles from me. Sort of why I thought the price was high. A friend wanted to retire in Perth but the price of beer scared him off. ******, he owns 3 houses.

    My 1999 XJ build thread

kd Welp, one of my old jobs was to rebuild old Jeeps and I still get dragged off to make sure things are done correctly on friends Jeeps. It looks like you did a good job. As long as the backlash is correct.

I hope you can get that price. That's around 6X more than I spent on my MF.FG with a usable camper.

Experience With Preparing ISUZU NPS Camper: Body

Yeah, my brother and neighbor would say that I caused the Hindenburg and Titanic to go down if they could figure out the dates when I wasn't even born yet. Still not sure how I cracked that manifold.
