    Roam About with "Big Hank"

Nice right up. I had to wait to see your hound. We did the same bit with a Dachshund and a fresh pile of cow poop. Both ways from the pond. Doggy perfume as my brother puts it.

    Robinson Fuso fire

I thought I was having a crappy year. I suppose it's not that bad after all. At least I still have a house to live in. Good luck.

The Grand Expedition Colorado to Alaska to Baja...

Aero, I hope it works. My family and friends have always picked up trash wherever we are. I packed up a entire 3B with trash out in the fields. I didn't think it was too picture worthy so...

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

Jeff, I like the way you think outside of the box. I used to have contractors that didn't want me to leave because I could find a way to get things done in new ways and I knew how to use tools that were over 100 years old. Just how I was brought up. Or as my mother would say, dragged up.

Continental Divide Overland Route and the Alpine Loop in Colorado - Picture Heavy

Nice report and welcome to the areas I spent much of my time in growing up. It's interesting that a lot of young girls have to wear their Pink Princess dresses while out. It's always interesting to see how others view this area. I suppose a person can get a bit used to it and then it is time to...

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

The pictures sort of put a different spin on things from the news. Two of my friends and his mother moved inland to a motel and got kicked out of there and had to go to a shelter for a few nights. After 2 nights they were allowed to go back to the condo. Fun, no power or water... They are...

    jeep hierarchy

This really isn't going to lessen the confusion but I am still happy driving my old 3B or Commando. They do what I need them to do and the Commando did excellent service getting me to the hospital for 5 1/2 months. Friends have CJ7s, CJ5s, JKURS, we all nd up at the same place at the end of the...

Tiny House On A Steel Soldier…………….Expedition Notes.

It is your life after all so as long as everybody gets healthy you are doing well. The rest of it, it will work out.

    Air Bags

Good luck you fellers. I wanted some airbags for the front of my FG. Nope, they wouldn't sell them to me at the truck show. It was the standard bag set up but they had never installed any on that type of truck. I could have easily made them work but a lawyer has their nose poked in there somewhere.

Tiny House On A Steel Soldier…………….Expedition Notes.

You are having a good trip so keep it up. I have several vehicles that will do over 100 MPH. I cruise along at around 50 MPH. I'm not in a hurry and it gives me more time to watch the scenery. Nobody waves at the Volvo but my old Buick and my old Jeeps get waves.

    Lumpskie's 1989 Grand Wagoneer Build

I believe I would change the water pump as well. I'm not sure how the fan clutch hooks to it. A friend was heading off to SLC to see a lady friend in his Charger. Fan clutch went outside of a tiny town in UT on a Sunday morning and he pulled into a gas station and a greasy hippie guy leaned over...

    Towing Electrical Connector Recommendation

Yes, standard RV plug. As stated they can be adapted to about any thing. If you go the used plug route be sure that it will match the plug on what you are towing. Ford had a better idea in the mid '90s and their own system. Actually 7 pins versus 6 blades and a center pin as in a standard RV...

    Alternator

To tell the truth both of my Jeeps have amp meters. And to me they tell more about how the system is working than a volt meter would ever tell me. Some say that they are not safe but in my many years of off roading I have never cooked a Jeep.

NPR 4wd conversion and camper build thread.

It looks like you are doin well. Don't get into the pissing contests that a lot of the motor home crowd get into about how many batteries they have and how much fresh water they haul around in their 36' camper. I stood around listening to all of the rich guys spouting off and finally told them...

2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with J30 (gobirubicon)

Interesting to watch the reports from there. I've written to a friend that lives outside of Ft. Meyers but no reply yet. Her brother lives in East TX and had to be removed with his dog and 2 cats by an airboat. (his son is a fireman/EMT that came in). He lives in a house on stilts and parked...

Tiny House On A Steel Soldier…………….Expedition Notes.

We all can live our life as we choose it to be, hopefully. If I had seen that thing in 1998 I would have bought it. So I bought a Mitsu Fuso FG. Some people hate it and some want to buy it. I still think about throwing out a tarp , pad and a sleeping bag in my yard. Oh yeah, cats and the...

Tiny House On A Steel Soldier…………….Expedition Notes.

Check your fuel lines to the tank. Manual valve or automatic for the tank switch over? What can I say, I slept on the rear deck of a 1955 Pontiac with my parents inside , brother, and our dog by my mothers side for years in that car. I can't throw any stones at all but it looks like a good rig.

ImpromptU-Ah! Back to Utah We Go!

Yep, there some large fish up there especially right below the dam. (You can't fish there). A friend will go up there with friends and fly fish as they float down the river.
