    2001 Mitsubishi FG637

I suppose it depends where you are camping at and what time if the of year. I would go out to camp in the desert after filling up my fresh water tank about 1/2 of the way with cold water. Fire up the water heater in one morning. After about two days in the sun "I don't need no stinking water...

JKUR with Teraflex Prerunner posing in a parking lot.

It doesn't mean I didn't read it. It just means that I didn't need a reason to offer up an idiotic reply. I read most of the threads here And unless I have something positive to say I stay away. Some posts I will offer advice on but normally I stay in my corner playing with my belly button.

OFFICIAL: Jeep JL User's Guide and Owner's Manual Released!! With pics!

I've fought with the Kettering (points) and electronic systems before and each can screw up in their own special way. One of my Jeeps is running an electronic ignition and the other still has points. Both start and run fine.

    Going Commando

Good luck. I have had to do very little to mine other than putting a flanged rear axle in it. (Not sure how I broke the ring and pinion in the first one?) I was out at the truck recycling place and found a similar C101 that had been in an accident. Oh, power brakes and a spare tire/gas can...

OFFICIAL: Jeep JL User's Guide and Owner's Manual Released!! With pics!

There is just some things I don't trust about the modern electrical systems. Not that I trust the old ones much more. My neighbor got a call from his daughter about her boyfriends truck breaking down and not starting. Mike and his wife piled in the pickup and drove all night long several...

    Going Commando

Welcome to the club. I have a 1969 that is mostly stock. They are a decent vehicle off road and are great for things like going skiing or to the store in the winter.

    My Journey

As long as you are having a good time with the dogs, you are in fine shape. It looks like you were in some nice places. There is a saying around here "The bigger the rodeo buckle, the smaller the ride" as to your reference to cow persons.

Slim Jim on a Fuso door?

Keys are good things to have. I locked myself out of my house one night and had to wander over to my neighbors to get my spare door key. Alright get my spare set of keys out so I could retrieve the first set from inside the van and take the key back to my neighbors. I got another set of keys...

[YEAR 7!] Quit our jobs, sold our home, gone riding...

Gene, ya' bastid. I ended up having to watch some videos again about those races. Let's just say I've never been in a formal race and have ridden several race bikes and have left some metal scrapings on the pavement or in the dirt. Anyway, thanks for keeping us up with what you are doing.

    A romp through Western Kansas

Interesting post. All of my trips across the state were pretty much a matter of endurance to get home to CO. You did find some interesting spots.

    Isuzu vs Canter

I sort of get it. A friend was a supervisor on a job outside of Perth. He liked the area 20 years ago and thought about retiring there. He was back about a year ago and it about dropped him to his knees when he saw the increase in prices for anything.

Use of Memory Clear and Diag Check for ECU Errors instead of MUT/OBD

Don't limit yourself to MF dealers. Around here there a lot of diesel repair shops that know a lot more than the dealership about these motors

    My Journey

At least the dogs are looking at you with the "Quit standing out there taking a picture and get in and lets go" look. They are ready for another adventure.

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

A neighbor kid just bought a used Rubicon so I had to wander over to OOH and AHH around it. I noticed that the paint was peeling off of the door hinges and mentioned the corrosion issues to him. "Nah, paint just doesn't stick as well to aluminum". Whatever Scott.

    Isuzu vs Canter

Thanks fellers. It makes me happy to have a '94 MF without all of the extra computer junk and DEF. Manual transmission and a low range I have. I may not have the power, speed or fuel mileage that you get but I muddle along.

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

Just throw a bit more into your stew. I can pull some higher passes in 5th gear if I hit them early in the morning or in the winter. My neighbor thought I was full of crap when I told him about it. He started paying attention and figured out that his studly Powerstroke lost power at higher temps...

    Robinson Fuso fire

Looks painful but it survived. It looks like a few more parts are plastic on yours but still it can all be repaired. Good luck.

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

Sort of looks like when I moved out of my college dorm room except my father came up with the 62 'burban and yep, the bike was strapped to the spare tire on the MB. How did get so much junk up here?

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

I don't know a lot but I did tires for years. I wandered over to my neighbors house and his son is sitting in the driveway fighting to get the chrome cap out of the impact socket from his F350. I tried to be nice as I'm laughing inside. "you remove that cap first Daniel"

The Grand Expedition Colorado to Alaska to Baja...

Years ago we would go out camping with a friend and the last thing he would do is to have all of us out policing up the camp area. Boy scouts, yep, every morning, out cleaning up the trash hunters had left in a wilderness area around a lake. Rangers came in on horseback and hauled it out. I...
